Is there a reason why the istop function is off?

because it is useless? Since our petrol is cheap, it save a little fuel money but increase workload of starter and battery. Decreasing lifespan of starter and battery

I am with the same opinion. I had enough of it with the aircond & engine cutoff with CRZ ( Honda IMA can't disable without 3rd party tool or being in sport mode all time ), I ain't having it with m3.

Hi Guys, my Mazda 3 Skyactiv is now 10 years old and according to the owner's manual the radiator coolant should be changed at 200,000 km or 10 years. Mileage wise, I'm only at 105,000 km.

Is it really necessary to change the coolant at 10 years? This requires flushing the radiator and putting in Mazda long life coolant. I'm thinking of letting go of my car in another 2-3 years. I know many owners of cars older than 10 years don't bother to change the coolant and they are still driving happily.

Appreciate some advice here. Thanks guys.

Now that you mention it, my 20 year old Avanza hasn't changed its coolant before and it's still running fine.

To be fair, changing the coolant is not that expansive. Best to done it for an old cars. Not sure, I always found those who had car brokedown heading East at Karak highway always the very old car, can tell from their number plates.

And cz Mazda, please change the ATF

If you’re keeping the car another 2–3 years or more, I think important than the coolant is to check your radiator hoses. If is harden, just change them as this is what usually leaves people stranded when it crack and leaks.

Since you only drive about 10k km a year, you may not need to touch the coolant but for Mazda FL22 coolant is cheap, around RM150 for a full flush, perhaps a good flush it lasts for another 3–5 years until you sell the car. Do take note that, Fresh coolant also protects your water pump and hoses from sudden overheat and usually for old coolant, although it see have colour but it will be like normal water that loses protection, and makes the engine overheat easier.

I changed mine for peace of mind (car at 250k km, 10 years old) and just continue using it a few more years before deciding on a replacement. At least during usage reduces the risk of failure is reduced.

We may not know when we will be rushing that revving non stop or hill climbing or go for long distance then it overheat. Then is too late bro.

hi all mazda 3 owners...

just a quick question here...

is it a common issue where when we brake slowly, there will be a "krik krik krik" sound...?

and driving slowly sometimes have the same sound also... even without braking...

i went to SC for checking and the SC said it is a common issue for Mazda 3 models... and what they can do is just grease it to reduce the sound...

they say even if i change brake pads... the sound will return eventually...

they also say its common like during a cold drive/cold morning... the brake disc will screech also because of the brake pads...

according to them, they say the brake pads are not 100% align properly, so sometimes it will wobble depending on the speed...?

any solution to this...? or its a problem we have to endure while owning it...?

thanks...!

Hey guys, would the experience be different if I were to test drive the current Mazda 3 2.0 as I am interested in the new Mazda 1.5. Because I would not want to wait for it to be here as if I like it then i might just proceed to place a booking.

Kinda been eyeing for this model for few years now haha.

Mazda 3 are CBU units though. So unless they have a ready stock with the color and spec of your choice, it was a month & half wait for me. Coming from 1.5L car previously, 2.0 definitely have better driving power. I recommend 2.0 anytime over the 1.5.

On paper it seems to be everything the same like the 2.0 high plus. But not sure about the suspension and braking system.
