My problem is even scarier... middle of a roundabout, suddenly the car engine died. Car still moving, i released and pressed the brake few times....pressed push start button.... only the engine back to live.
Checked at SC, battery is still strong. Did IDS scan (RM85), no error in the report.
This is the second time i encountered this, last time was the battery connection was loose.
Wow scary leh, so at the end u managed to find out what problem caused this?

Mazda's TSR (traffic sign recognition) for some reason only relies on the SD card map data instead of using the camera.
I have it activated on my CX30 with the SD card, but sometimes it's showing a different speed from what's shown on the real sign

if you have the 10.25" infotainment display then you should have it - this shouldn't be an "ignite-only" feature. hmm.. then it works differently than those i found in the Peugeot, outdated map i guess.
Just found today from another CX30 owner that it's possible to hack the TSR to work using the camera instead of only the map data.... but you have to go to Thailand for it
They can also unlock the TPMS, as well as this feature call iDM (Intelligent Drive Master) which displays an indicator on your dashboard depending on how you drive the car and provide a score (something like an eco indicator on Honda or Toyota i think). This feature was only available on the JDM models apparently. Gimmicky but cool to have I guess
for those who are curious - the latest firmware now allows 3rd party maps' directions (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps) to appear on the HUD. it no longer confines itself to only using Mazda's own maps (through their SD card).
One thing still missing though and that is the speed recognition feature.
Which version is this? Currently mine only works with Apple Maps.

for ios works with apple maps.. i tried waze and google maps not working
if you're on iOS then only Apple Maps will work however if you're on Android, both Waze and Google Maps will work.
Apple purposely made it so that users are forced to use their Apple Maps if they want to unlock the car's full potential. If they cannot put it behind a pay wall then they decided to just disabled it. Scum bag move.
