My loan was approved the next day after paying my booking for 1.5. Then I switch to 2.0 , bank also came back quick. I don’t think it’s the loan issue tho.

I see.

If that's the case then perhaps it's your SA waiting for any available units of your choice to open up before snapping it for you! smile.gif

the insurance premium is already fixed by Berjaya Sompo. I don't think you can alter the value insured for new cars.

I dint know we can do that. Pestering the staff until you get minimum agreed value

the premium difference between the recommended agreed value and the "minimum agreed value" isn't actually very far apart so not sure even if it's worth the while haggling :haha: imagine the beating that it will take to your reputation.

just did a new mod recently - ambient light.

is anyone a fan of ambient light?

sample below.

hmm.gif from the looks of it, all the panels needed to be removed for the installation?

oh! why does your scuff plate not light up?

yup you're right.

and yes, for the side step, will send back for a warranty claim during my next service at the end of this month or early next month.

lazy wanna send back just for that scuff plate only. so do it once, together when i send it back during service.
*
ahh~ would love to install those ambient lighting but the thought of removing all the panels and then reinstalling them ohmy.gif

are those scuff plates the wired ones?

I know that mazda has the battery operated ones.

hahahah, i would suggest you to drop your car and leave it to them to install and you don't wanna see/know how they do it. but these are properly fitted in your car. so far after a couple of weeks, it works perfectly fine.

those scuff plates are non-wired, they are battery powered, the battery is in the plate itself, in fact, if you do was your car yourself, you may accidentally move them a little which may cause the lights to go off. which i believe this is what happened to mine, the inside is always dirty, so when i do weekly wash, i would clean it, together with the scuff plates, so i suspect this is the reason why i always caused them to switch off.

They are battery magnetic powered, the light goes off when you shut your door.

By the way just FYI, this is not made available to those who got their car in 2019. starting 2020 only they fix it as a standard stuff.

lol.gif

yeah, cannot imagine how I would feel watching all the panels get dismantled mega_shok.gif

i can still remember how distressed I felt during the time I got my FWS retinted, watching the "soap water" gets sprayed to the side pillars shocking.gif

the scuffs plate, sounds like a hassle to clean wink.gif

are the scuff plates left out as standard accessory in the 2020 Mid-Spec?

Hi guys looking for some advice! Made my booking mid-sept (high spec Sedan, machine grey) and my SA hasn’t been able to give me a concrete date of arrival.

So I was wondering since it’s so close to EOY and with all these CMCO going on, would it make more sense to just hold out for a new 2021 registered vehicle? Since first year depreciation would already be about 10-15% (understand that mfg date will also state the month, but I know from experience ppl usually only care about the mfg year on second hand market).

My only concerns would be 1) If they will extend SST rebate for next year and 2) If I’ll still be eligible for the extra year warranty. Even if I add these two up (roughly 6-7k), it’s still far less than 15k (assuming 10% depreciation).

Greatly appreciate if anyone could share their thoughts! Thanks smile.gif

if you made your booking mid-September then high chances are that no cars in the recent shipment will be allocated to you unless someone cancels their order or their loan got rejected - you'll most probably wait for the next shipment which no doubt will be next year.

to be honest, i wouldn't worry too much about "depreciation" due to manufacturing year when i have already decided to purchase a Mazda because it cannot be helped. Mazda produces limited supply per cycle and only allocates a certain percentage of it to Malaysia. Even if you make your booking next year, you'll most probably only get your car in the middle of the year?

the pitfalls of CBU cars.

you should check with your SA regarding the rebates/promotions because as far as I was given to understand from my SA previously when I bought mine, she said as long as you made your bookings before the rebate/promotion period ends, you'll be entitled to all of them. it's something Bermaz promises to uphold.

Nice reply. To add in that, SA told me this time they only able to ship 300 for 60 dealers in the whole Malaysia. With JP current condition, maybe won't make it to Dec also. Worst case is manufactured in 2020 but receive next year Q2
*
i supposed the 300 is a mixture of both the Mazda3 and the Mazda CX30?

did you guys re-tint or stuck with the free sky tint?
*
i only just had the FWS retinted because the IRR % on it is absolutely rubbish rclxub.gif the rest are decent but if you want to have everything retinted then please remember to let the tinting guys know NOT to remove the original skytint from the back window - high risk of damaging the defogger lines.

Hi everyone, I havent seen any maintenance schedule plan with pricing after the free 5 + 5 years maintenance program from Mazda.

Can someone share the cost for mazda 3 service cost after 5 years both by SC and outside. Really appreciate your input sifus.

Cheers 👍🏼
*
there isn't one yet for the Mazda3 BP because all of them that are on the road are still under the free schedule maintenance scheme but based on what the owners of previous generation commented, it should be between RM400 - RM600 for each 10,000km.

you can expect a 20% to 25% reduction in costs if you take it outside of the service centre.

i'm expecting slight discrepancies in terms of fitment BUT that would be my last concern. these TPU films are extremely difficult to apply properly if you are not skilled.

anyone stick the RFID sticker on the front headlamp? any issues with detecting it?

expect resistance because the headlights are located underneath a rather elaborated hood.

I'm thinking of getting my Mazda 3's 2018 3rd gen model's piano black plastic panels wrapped too as i'm beginning to see a few microscratches appearing under direct sunlight.

So far i've located a specialist who can perform such wrapping: https://www.facebook.com/MproMalaysia/.

Thinking of calling them up to ask for a ball park quotation before deciding to drop my car at their workshop.
It looks like my 3 2018 3rd gen's model is affected too by the faulty fuel pump after crosschecking my chasis number. Will toss it over to the Mazda service centre to rectify this weekend.
*
i called and asked them before for a quote on the Mazda3 centre console, RM400.

Anyone has info when is the shipping for Mazda 3 ? i booked end of Sept and no update from SA.
*
if your SA who works for Bermaz has no idea about the information you seek, all of us here would be as equally as ignorant, if not worse off.

go back a few pages, there's a recent shipment of Mazda3s that came in earlier this month but i think those are for people who booked way earlier than you and chances are if you only placed your booking in September then unless someone's loan gets rejected or cancelled their bookings, the September shipment won't be for you.

which SA did you placed your booking at?
