Asked the same question in Mazda 3 club. Apparently there will be some differences in colour tone if respray here in Malaysia, due to different techniques in colour mixing, those who are lucky will get 90% close to original colour.
I will double confirm this with Mazda Body and Paint Center.
*
agreed with some comments above, looks like the paint is easy to get scratch on stone chips, hence ppf is the best way. on the color repair, believe the skillful painter with reputable paint shop able to get back the factory color.

Patiently waiting for the car now.

Engine and gb, hp and torque is similar. So depend on each model weight for power-weight ratio

Currently driving an Iriz. 2 months till end of loan LOL
The gearbox started jerking more and more even though i change ATF every 40k

it has done 110k. LOL.  7 years old.
*
Try cvt adaptation for iriz. After a cvt oil change, when put adaptation process, it will show whether it had excess oil or need to top up

The 1.5L is really enough for me haha. Only thing left is i wanted to test drive.. but non available. Sad

Yes for your point 4, no its not snobbish. The mere act of me thinking should i funnel my income to the car, is a sign that maybe I'm not that willing.
I've counted, and it fits within my allocated finances. Just that i am a low risk person. I prefer to put in FD to weather maybe sudden retrenchment or etc.
The difference for me in life planning would be that
If i would get the mazda 3, means my next house will be maybe 5 years later at my parent's hometown
If i don't get the mazda 3, means my next house will be <5 years later at possibly Penang.
But i digress.

This is FnF!!!!! Zoom Zoom!!!

And thanks for the input that 1.5L is adequate. =)

How is Mazda's warranty claims attitude? Are they no questions asked?
*
How was the used car price? If u can get 1-2 years old Mazda 3, with that budget maybe can get 2.0. Risk is for potential flooded car, need to bring mechanic to help

Sorry if I potong you guys, it's CX3. For those interested, see picture for the updated specs.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

But I found this interesting comparing to the updates from CX3, the changes/upgrade it got that MAY come to our Zoomzoom machine #3 is as follows:
1) Front & back sensors for ALL grades
2) 360 degree cam
3) Maybe the burgundy red seats since CX3 is getting some updates on the seats as well.
4) LED pls on the High spec sedan.  tongue.gif

What do you guys say?

*edit - add on
So I just went around to read about the minor updates gotten by Mazda3 in Japan for 2021 (read: JAPAN, not MY) and here are the updates (from PT):
1) Skyactiv-X 10HP++ and 16Nm++ = 190HP & 240Nm
2) Extra badging on the front fenders and tailgate (e-SkyActiv X)
3) 1.8 Skyactiv-D turbodiesel 14HP++ = 130HP
4) Skyactiv-G got manual option
5) Retuned springs and dampers
6) Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) Level 2 semi-autonomous driving up to highway speeds, more than 55km/h.
7) Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) responds smoother to mimic a human driver.

So, what are we gonna get? At best I can see from this list is only 5 6 7 only. sad.gif
*
Is CX3 sales still ok? still got demand? Doubt the Skyactiv X will ever hit our market, let alone SEA region

According to Chinese auto media, Automachi: (I roughly translate ya, don't kencam)
1) Facelift is mainly on the equipment and not interior.
2) Using same engine. 1.5L and 2.0L
3) MAYBE will have Skyactiv-X engine because when launch in 2019, Malaysia's petrol x reach requirements BUT in 2020, most petrol stations have already Euro 4M soooo yeah.
4) IF (3) happens, we will be getting 190HP and 240Nm. (Mirroring JP)
5) MRCC instead of 0-55km/h only, now gains full speed.
6) Improve suspension.
7) Earliest we can see the changes is in March 2022.
8) Price MAYBEEEE slight reduce.

Doubt the X come to our region, let alone our market. Cost issues.

Urs still have 2021 model? HighPlus?
And yes, 2022 model. Awaiting shipment but afaik, HighPlus back order log 300++. rclxub.gif
Have not. As per mentioned above.
Justification of the 10k:
1) Easily Civic's maintenance for 5 years is at a minimum of RM3800++
2) RM3800 is not fully synthetic oil. It's mineral oil. So, +1k = RM4800
3) RM4800 + inflation (Let's just put RM200 for easier counting) = RM5000
4) Mazda3 comes tinted, the other does not. Good tinting cost at least RM3000. RM5000 + RM3000 = RM8000
5) Less/No steering rack/QC issue.
6) TBH, Civic's RS tyre (235/40 ZR18) is much more expensive compared to Mazda3's HighPlus tyre (215/45 R18). Of course don't use PS4. Compare something like Continental or Toyo or Goodyear.

user posted image
Here I (read: ME, MYSELF, I) did a simple costs I may need to spend in the first 5 years. I may be wrong or left out major stuffs but here's my breakdown of Y1-Y5. Yes, I was doing for Mazda3 High (205/60 R16 Continental UC6 + reverse + front sensors) and NOT HIGH PLUS. Bear that in mind. Oh, also, maintenance calculation is only for Civic.
Y1: Road Tax + Maintenance + sensors (Mazda only) + Tinting (Civic only, 3k)
Y2: Road Tax + Maintenance + battery + tyre (x2)
Y3: Road Tax + Maintenance + battery
Y4: Road Tax + Maintenance + battery + tyre (x2)
Y5: Road Tax + Maintenance + battery

From here, you can already see the BIG difference jump. Even if you were to put HighPlus in, I believe the price is almost similar (HighPlus's tyres are cheaper compared to Civic RS)

I would actually appreciate if someone can point out something that I missed in my calculations (exclude insurance as their $$ is very similar). Thanks~  rclxms.gif

Anyone tried? How is it? Price wise? Workmanship?
You can count me out for judging u to not buy M3 and going for Civic. We have our own responsibilites with our own money and it's your money, buy what you like/fits your situation.
Since you are talking about tyres here are my 2 cents on an AVERAGE price of a tyre I get from Shopee/Lazada. Again I shall clarify that this is MY OWN FINDINGS and I may be wrong.

And does the sunroof has tinting too?

sorry if this is dumb question but does the tint installer need to remove the existing Skytint before applying the new one?
or just apply on the existing tint?

Sayang to remove it. Double tint is ok in my opinion. Cz u pay rm2k+ for the mandatory accessories

Both macam ok. No/little complaints for Mazda CKD models and Toyota’s Altis from TH. If only if H can improve their QC and selection of suppliers @ M state, I’ll then put them in my list of reliable CKD plants. As for now, to me, CKD plants that are good to go (Jap brands) are Bukit Raja and Kulim.
*
I remember back then Merz Pahang CKD plan, their E-Class always had rattled on dashboard area. SC is willing to recheck, re-open and reinstall but the customer needs to sign a form that if it needs a longer time, the customer needs to agree. W211 back then. If follow forum, many owner even said better buy CBU Merc than CKD Pekan made.

360 is basic need nowadays. Wife previously not experienced this tech on old car, now too depending on the camera for parking after had this on current car.

Kulim factory made the cx5 for our market and Thai, but they got a better safety autonomous spec vs local. Why not the same?

135k at 2.22% at 9 years lol. Plan to dump in the rest as downpayment since 1.5k installment is my psychological barrier. I feel extremely insecure past that. The rest of my money I just dump extra installment into my homeloan to reduce interest.

And yeah the civic one. My sa say cannot. She scared accident then gg. Lol. She told me if showroom car gg later she eat porridge. Lmao.

And yeah. Not rich, just self sufficient. I'm single and only need to support me and my parents. Not gonna have my own family lol. Not planning to. Hence why a bigger house is not my top most priority.  If I have plans to have my own family then yeah, definitely a suitable house first. Currently I just stay in my own studio apartment. Haha
Though either way, seems like either developer or bermas will be getting my money haha. Cash in fd in this inflation rate.  Gg.

Suggest used Mazda car also had attractive value. Take the 1-3 years old car. Pre Reg also, usually had many in Mazda Federal Highway KL

Most kill off is bermaz cut spec and raise price 1k.

Only plus point is they got bring in polymetal grey sedan n platinum quartz.

Tssk tssk tssk. Too confident fight with RS pricing make bermaz complacent
*
I hate Bermaz since their compulsory junk skytint and old version carpet. Paid rm2k+ for both compulsory, day 3 remove both with better tint and Trapo carpet. It kinda the back then Proton which ask customer to take compulsory accessories back in early 2000.
