i got some rattling noise from rear roof panel, probably loose cable hitting the panel.
gonna ask for enhancement for the 1st service this week.

i did consider about that initially, but didn't opt for it, because of price and needs to be removed, repainted, reapplied after few years, which is another cost.
Then i found that i have serious OCD, and can't tolerate the rock chips...

Just ordered touch up paint, let's see if i can fix it.

Tbh I don't feel any extra power for ron97. This gen4 bp is kinda not fuel efficient for me already lol. Fuel efficiency around 10-11litre/100km.

hmm, my fuel efficiency is around 10km/l for city drive, while 14 - 15.5km/l for highway drive. I think depends on driving behavior?

4 months now, sedan, no rattling sound at all. But tire already changed once due to pothole, that's the risk with low profile tire.
Aside from that, the paint is thin, advisable to have ppf installed. I didn't do that, damn regret now.

multiple layers of paint does not mean it is thick (eg: 4 layers of 3microns is still thinner than 1 layer of 15microns).

how Soul Red Crystal achieved its vibrant red color is because how thinly the paint is spread across the body panels. you can test this by applying only once a thick code of paint over a piece of paper and then right next to it, a multiple thinly coat one.

this method also help MAZDA reduce the adverse impact its has on the environment as studies have shown, conventional car painting methods are very inefficient and is costly to the environment. this is why MAZDA's "Takumi" technique is revered world wide.

I'm actually more concern about the squeaky rotors when the car is crawling / inching in traffic. Got it replaced under warranty about a year ago and somehow, it seems to have crept back. SC identified the brake pads as the cause but i highly doubt it.

... and no, the squeaking/screeching sound has nothing to do with brake juddering.
"rattling sounds" are one of the most difficult to diagnose and fix simply because there is no easy way to identify exactly and accurately what are the causes and 9/10 times, your SC will return the finding of "no sound heard" and then just send you on your way.

you can raise the issue in the Mazda app so that at least it is on record that the sound already existed and then highlight to them again on your next service but chances are, the SC is going to require you to leave the car for a whole day and then come evening, they will tell you the "sound" cannot be replicated.

eventually, you will get bored with it and learned to accept it as it is
