buy this game cos of the beautiful monster designs
videogames nowadays are full of sequels, 'me-too's and 'copycat's. sometimes got more "fresh" games like this 1, can go and experience it. |

Yeah it's a pity this game didn't do too well in Japan. Guess it's different from the norm, but to me it is because of this "freshness" that makes it a great RPG.
Anyway I am just curious whether for this Asian version, did Lemrick get a name change to Doolin, as in the US version. Lastly POP, did you manage to get the Shefro ID in the first chapter? To me that was the toughest ID to acquire in the whole game. |

that why sometimes i'm puzzled by JPN videogames market. i know WiiDS is very fun and appealing but JPN have a high rate of HDTV adoption. they sell good HD games on 360 and PS3 and the prices also not bad, but JPN consumers not interested - they choose ps2 and WiiDS instead

Oh, so the village name for the Asian version was changed to follow the US version, now I wonder what issues they had with Lemrick.
QUOTE(PrinceOfPersia @ Sep 21 2007, 11:04 AM) If you still can't get it tonight, I can tell you how. It took me a long while just to develop a strategy to "attack" that ID without disturbance, it is one of the few ID which required precise split second timing to acquire. Hopefully Heavenly Sword performs well in Japan and PS3 picks up momentum soon. |

gundam games sell blockbuster numbers in JPN regardless of quality, same with EA sports games and FPS games in the US
actually, if u look at the graphics engine for folk-lore (same with genji) it is not very advanced ( i think no self-shadowing) but nice art and design can make a game very immersive. This post has been edited by acougan: Sep 21 2007, 12:11 PM |
