Anybody got recommendation for inline skates? I used to skate quite some time ago (like about 10 year plus) but was quite good at it. Now want 2 pick up again but donno which one maybe suitable for me since i in singapore so i mostly do urban inline or recreational inline.
So far i've narrowed my brands to rollerbaldes, k2 or roces. Just need to pick a particular model only.

QUOTE(benbeaninc @ Oct 19 2009, 09:41 PM) rollarblade more shoe tight K2 more confort roces- i duno >< sorii if u r nt reli hardcore i sugeest u go for K2 dulu ... k2 dulu? I was thinking of getting either the k2 eco but that soft boot and i heard that soft boot wear and tear much faster then full bodied frame like rollerblades fusion x5 or twister 243 which i am also interested. Coz if i am getting a pair, mostly for excercise which involves me using it to goto work since my residential house is about 1km from my workplace and i will be skating to and from my workplace. QUOTE(benbeaninc @ Oct 20 2009, 08:00 PM) haha... if u wana go to work better K2... u won wana hv a pair of sore legs during work... BTW: u will b sweatin whn u reach ur destination.... unless ur workplace gt place to bath ( how cool is tat~!!!) my frens rollerblade wore off faster thn my K2.... his stripes broke.... skating is my ONLY exercise in my current life.... either ice skate or inline skate... My work place has a makeshift bath/toilet. But i dont like to use it for bathing since its not particularly clean. I know of another office which has dedicated shower area where i used to go there since i had a contract job over there for a few weeks. It is a Norwegian company.

Is the seba brand readily available in malaysia?
Is it soft boot or hard boot?

I now not sure whether to go for soft boot or hard boot. My choice i;ve narrowed down to either K2 or rollerblade.
I noticed that for freestyle, k2 offers only soft boots while rollerblade offers hard boot aka like the twister 243.
I want something which is more comfortable rather then outright performance on sidewalks. I will be purchasing mine online from the states since this is what they offer, plus they also have roces but i not so keen on them.

QUOTE(benbeaninc @ Oct 24 2009, 05:44 PM) i would nt reli suggest u buy ur skates on9 due to the size I have roughly tried on both rollerblades and k2 skates so i have a pretty good estimation of what boot size im gonna get. Since i've tried both brands but not the exact model.

Yesterday got some sales in singapore for a few brands of inline skates, tried the rollerblade x5. So long never skate not used to the skate and fell on my wrist, now damn hurting. Dman smooth wheels, was surprised how easy it was pick up speed.
I think i'll pass on the x5 and get me a beginner skate with a brake for now, later will upgrade when i upgrade my own skill.
Thought of getting either rollerblade or k2 but not sure which beginner level skate has the option of detachable brake.
Tried those china brand skates and sing sub 100 dollar skates, damn cheapo and got alot of flex.
The x5 was going for $369 that day, normal price was 550.
