I see, so the hoda lens protector still 'ok' compared to most lens protector out there. actually my main concern is scratches on the ring of the lens, not the lens itself, so I m still considering what to get to protect the lens' ring from getting scratch

I think Imos also not bad, both also Taiwan brand. So far I watched some YouTube, it is difficult to remove but able remove it without any scratches. There are chances you not remove it correctly and the lens protector broke then might causes the scratches.

Anyone tried the Pro RAW mode? How does the RAW photo quality compare to traditional DSLR?

Just manage do a few shot, will share here later if got time but no side by side with DSLR or mirrorless
From most of the YouTube video doing comparison feel like the pro raw did too much colour noise cancelation so might lose some detail due to it computational setting

Noticed that cannot import apple pro raw file to Lightroom direct from Photos in Mac book, must connect your iPhone with cable only can import it into Lightroom doh.gif

Shot by Apple Pro Raw, first edited in Lightroom, second original without edit.
Non portrait mode and original bokeh due to bigger sensor and more depth of field in iPhone 12 Pro Max

the range of edits available with raw format in Lightroom is really convenient.

Excellent thumbup.gif

Have you compared the RAW output vs a DSLR?

the difference between the 2 (at least to me) when compared to my trusty old A550 is infinitesimal. i was actually expecting more noise from the iPhone due to its smaller sensors but the results turned out to be pleasantly surprising. considering how convenient it is to snap images of such caliber with a device that fits into the pocket, i cannot complain.

Took this during last year Christmas. Added some snow effect for the feel.
