Hi guys,

Just wondering, which telco offers the best/reasonable contract for an iPhone X? Looking for low upfront payment if possible. Thanks in advance! smile.gif
*
If you are with Digi currently/ your accomodation area coverage is good with Digi, suggest to go with Digi. Pay higher upfront, and cheaper monthly RM78 + GST.

Updated to iOS 11.2 yesterday. So far it’s ok. Not much difference.

Changed my wallpaper to the sea green scenery. Looks great. Hehe.

Any enhancement on the battery?

i'm thinking of getting the X from Digi online store, but im porting from Maxis prepaid. Theres an option for PORT IN from the device selection page but how the procedures go? Do they give me a new sim with the old number or they contact me?
*
If you are convenient, go to Digi store for port in, it will be faster i guess. Within 1 business day you need to reply Yes to port out to Digi.

I applied to port out from Digi to Celcom to buy the X cause they got stock in store for me (reserved long time ago) then suddenly Digi email me saying they got stock for me too. Ugh. Now dilemma to stick with Digi or port to Celcom. Digi can get it today but Celcom need to wait for that damn SMS from Digi to port out. Friday till now no SMS yet. Celcom or Digi? Cannot decide.
*
Depends on which coverage is better for your home area. If you have been with Digi for a long time, if it serving you well, then dont risk yourself for porting out. Digi 78 plan is good though. But I am with Maxis now, and the coverage and internet is way faster than Digi smile.gif good luck in making choice. If you are taking easyphone, it is mandatory for you to take for rm50 protection plan x 24 months.

Maxis undoubtedly best coverage. But RM128/month excl. GST like not worth it for me. I use not more than 10GB/month. At home Unifi 50mbps (very consistent and hardly any down time). But speed wise I saw on Open Signal and tested with my SO's iPhone 8 on speedtest, Celcom seems to be much faster.
*
The ball is with you. Should choose any telco that serve the best for you, as you will be bind into contract for 2 years. Good luck bro smile.gif

It's most obvious when the volume is set at high or max volume with piano music, currently I'm gathering data of affected device, if possible please watch the video I attached below and set it to maximum volume. The crackling or buzzing is most obvious starting from 1.04 mark of this video, report back whether your device having the same issue. It's also important to note that the crackling or buzzing only appear to be happened on Earpiece speaker, speaker located at the bottom of the device is not affected.

*
I am using iPhone 8 plus, yes its a lil bit of buzzing on earpiece speaker when it hits 1.04 mark.. However it is not noticeable when I hear from far away..

im still thinking whether to get from telco or any from apple authorized reseller
*
If you are consistently paying RM 78+ monthly phone bill, you may get it from Digi, if more than that, you can get from other telcos such as Celcom (98), Maxis (128). Otherwise, get from Lazada/Qoo10, as they will be saying cheaper than Authorised Apple Resellers.

my iphone x dropped on the escalator(steel surface). SP broken and luckily screen still ok.
[attachmentid=9437997]

this SP is around rm20 product from taobao. Not really sure the SP did the magic, break itself to protect my screen. Or this SP is lousy, that why it break after dropped.

Now need to source for a new SP. Thinking to get a more expensive good quality SP or still stick to taobao cheap product?

What type of SP u guys using? Full frame or not full frame? Which is better ?
Anyobe bought their SP from Taobao/Tmall or Lazada ? please recommend me some good SP from there. If can, please pm me the link . Thanks.
*
The purpose of SP is to protect your screen. Hence, stick to the cheap one as I believe it perform quite good for you. SP has to die first, just to protect the screen itself. I am using screen protector sold by Maxis, I have forgotten what brand. Just happy for your as your screen din't break, but be careful next time smile.gif Mind sharing the link of taobao for the SP you purchased previously?

Looks like the cheap SP did it’s job, which is to protect your screen. If it worked fine for you I don’t see why you need to get a more expensive replacement laugh.gif
*
Yea, I got the same thought smile.gif Hopefully he will share the link soon, then I will just find 1 for my iPhone 8 Plus, just incase my current SP has broken.
