It would be great if there's a phone with the Note 8 body and screen, Pixel 2 camera, the iPhone X processor and it runs iOS.

Guess Apple will make that next year.
*
QUOTE(dikae @ Dec 2 2017, 05:42 PM)
Agree, to me it's more for the screen size and infinity edge...laugh.gif
*
Well, to be fair the Note 8 is a of a different league. Its actually on the same level of playing field with the plus size Iphones. So you cant really compare the screen size. laugh.gif

But then again, whats the point of having the best OLED display in the world but your displays still loses out when placed next to another competitor's product. Only one word, unimpressive. When manufacturers race to produce the best LED TVs, plasma TVs etc, all of them only have one goal which is to produce one with the sharpest and clearest display amongst all.

Kinda dissapointed with the RM69 Hoda, its my second piece already, upon pulling out my phone from pocket this happened (the pocket only got iphone X itself).
Any other better TG to recommend with good oleophobic coating like hoda but wont have such issue? (first piece also having such peel off issue)
Thanks.

You have to check properly for bubbles / lifting immediately after installation and make sure the tg cures properly on your screen. Happened to mine as well but the installer kept pushing out the bubbles. It was fine after that.

Alright thanks, will try Benks  rclxms.gif

Its full coverage with the black outline. And Benks claims theirs is the best material for the tg. whistling.gif

*
Dust will still get into top gap on the notch above the speakers. Just like the HODA one. sweat.gif

QUOTE(icechiller555 @ Dec 4 2017, 10:05 AM)
Where did you get the banks and how much was it with installation bro? Thanks.
*

My location is bukit jalil. Also, damansara is a bit far from me and I have to work on weekdays so no time to go there and collect. My phone also haven't arrive, so that's another problem.
*
I would recommend that you let Sakurazz install if you have butter fingers like me. It looks easy to install but if bubbles appear, its a bit hard to push it off. Anyway, he is a nice guy and can give you recommendations on what to install. He also has a range of backcovers for you to spend more money on. tongue.gif laugh.gif

Ah thanks for the input...guess i'll just get another piece of RM69 clear HODA (third piece)  confused.gif  sweat.gif
*
Buy the full screen without the black lining version. I think yours is peeling because you knocked the edges of the TG on something or it got caught with the lint in your pockets. The full screen version covers till the edges and this should reduce the chances of it getting lifted.

I already ordered delivery from him le. and his place is kinda far. MY phone also haven't arrive yet so I don't know how to ask him to stall delivery
*
Call him and ask him to hold. Another thing is you might want to install the camera tg protectors. For that you would definately want him to install for you.

the full screen RM85 comes with the black border at the side.... the RM69 one is clear without border which has smaller coverage than the RM85 ones..
*
Oh... my bad. No full screen without black borders version? rclxub.gif

that camera protector really necessary if with those drop resistance case?

I saw review showing that the camera lens mirror is quite tough on this JerryRigEverything youtuber video
*
For Rm10, im not skimping on this. laugh.gif Im not worried about cracking the lense but rather scratching it.

QUOTE(nickywan123 @ Dec 4 2017, 11:29 AM)
You mean the tg camera for the back? That one the case would protect for you already right. why still need it?
*
Yes. Im using the TPU clear type of backcover. So... yeah. I think its pretty important.

I wouldn't get a TG for my back camera as I read it somewhere that it might affect the photo quality (whatever it is, an additional glass in front of the lens is still another layer of filtered quality).. I'd rather be careful and place my phone only on soft surface. My friends been putting their phone back facing hard surface but no scratches at all...
*
Yes, some forummer complained there is a greyish level of tint effect on the pictures but mine seems ok though.

QUOTE(nickywan123 @ Dec 4 2017, 11:51 AM)
You bought that tg camera protector from sakurazz right? They only have 1 type correct?
*
Yes, if Im not mistaken the brand is X-One.

So you think it's worth getting? The case is already has a barrier thick enough to protect the camera lens.
*
Im just worried that my camera lense will get micro scratches. For me I dont think it affects picture quality.

did you try a before vs after same picture?
*
I didnt have the protector on my first X. With this unit only did I installed the X-One TG. No, didnt compare though but I didnt notice any grey shades or anything. Been having the X-One tg for camera lense for all my iphones.

one of my biggest concern too  sweat.gif
*
Up to you guys whether you want to install or not. But for me, I think the TG for the camera doesn't affect my photo quality. Just that I would want to protect my phone in all available methods because I have a bit of OCD towards my belongings. tongue.gif

the picture in the guide quite missleading but the number memang got on the back.

i once got a refurbished iphone 6s replacement from apple, the box is small and white with the phone itself only
*
All "Replacement" units or Apple calls them "Seed Units" are refurbished Iphones that comes in small white boxes without the accessories.
But for units bought directly from Apple Store and the RMA is within the 2 weeks return period, then you will get a brand new unsealed unit because you return the whole complete box to Apple in the first place.

yeap been using older iphone models for years without back camera TG and didn't find any scratches (also could be the case lifted that protects the camera lens)...
*
The back cover camera bump will prevent your back camera from touching the table surface but it will not prevent loose items like keys or sand from scratching the camera. sweat.gif

Guys do u think I should buy from Sg? Am currently here and seems after conversion is slightly cheaper. Somemore can claim get refund I think? Just worry the credit card conversion rate.
*
Its only cheaper by less than Rm200 for the 256GB set if you buy at Sg. I would say it would not be worth it. If you check marketplace here at lyn, you could sometimes get a discounted local set.

First bug i saw on the iPhone X at the Apple store 8.15 am JT on November 3rd is the stock Mail app bug. The top of the screen flickers when I fresh start the Mail app and read an unread app. Persists up to 7.1.2.
*
It takes a while for Apple as well as the app developers to address the issues on IOS and the apps iteself. The same happened when Apple came up with the plus size versions of the iphone.
