Dont think so.

i bought a wireless charger, hook it up to the iPad Charger, charges quite fast.

Im using the USB C to Lightning to charge my phone from my MBP 2017, also seems fast.

Dont really see any reason to purposely buy another charger for the phone, unless this is your first iphone and all you have is that pointless charger that they bundled the phone with.

still consider if worth to get apple 29w adapter or not

For me not worth the price for that extra charging speed. The speed is just marginally faster if compared to using 3rd party charger with 12W output.

Yeah...I've been doing many reading mostly say get iPad 12w charger enough as the 29w charges only 15 mins faster but the price diff is huge (RM89 vs RM348)...

Then you probably want to get something faster, not necessarily the apple solution xD

Still cheaper to buy from Apple Store Singapore if you can claim tax refunds via flying out from the airport.

I would go for the 29W despite only getting 17W or something.... and use it for a few years on all my i-device...... also can sell full box with unused earphone and charger/cable.... biggrin.gif

Right, the problem is not just buying the adapter, you’ll need to buy the cable as well and as it is with Apple, it’s not cheap.

It’s a different story if you can fast charge within an hour or an hour and the half by using the 29W adapter and the USB C to lightning cable, but as it is it’s just a marginal improvement over using the iPad adapter and existing lightning cable.
