Hi peeps,

GRILL or NO GRILL? I need to decide whether to install grill or not in my new condo in Setapak area. I hate to live in a house with grill. Look like jail, but worry about the security in Malaysia.

Any suggestion or experience to share? Or any alternative to suggest? rclxub.gif

Seasons Garden?

People install grill windows area is because of small kids.
For security just front grill and yard area enough. Other windows will be pointless. Who able to climb in from there?

i have live on the 1st floor condo, terrace house, and 22nd floor condo - all no grills.

the 1st floor apartment, almost got broken in before because there is a flat roof next to my yard balcony and he climbed in and open my yard door and got into my kitchen but that was as far as he went cause my kitchen has another locked door to get into my living room. That kitchen door has 2 dead bolts and one turn knob style lock. Lol....

Main door and yard window a must to install. Balcony grille depends on the accessibility of next door units. For e.g. I live on 20th floor but outside my balcony is a ledge that is wide enough for someone to actually walk on it so for my own peace of mind, I rather install grille. In fact, during defect liability period, I once saw developer's worker squatting on the ledge to do repair work. That was enough to tell me that security comes first.

I suggest grill with simple patterns like those wrought irons one. A bit more pricey but at least they don't make your home look and feel like a prison.
