Hi all, i really need some guide and advice.
I'm currently on Unifi 30mbps package. Being a loyal customer for years.
Last year after my extended contract ended, i'm having problem with Unifi connection. Called CS and they came to check and said is my router problem. Asked me to extend another year of contract or else charge me certain amount. I agreed and extended for another one year. Again, after my contract ended just few days ago, i'm having the problem again with the connection. Called to report, and guess what the CS said my modem had spoiled before even ask technician come to check. Ask me to pay certain amount or extend another year of contract. I felt really annoyed, could this be their business strategy?
I searched and plan to changed to Maxis Home fibre which is also using the same port as Unifi? But my question is, is it true that the connection for Maxis is much more lousy compared to Unifi even using the same port (read that alot complaint about slow connection)?
Is there other alternative like continue with Unifi but get my own modem/router (will it work?). I'm a tech noob hope someone can advice me on this.

Hey bro, sorry to hear about your problem. Maxis Home Fibre is okay and have been reliable for me. If you want to change, you can as Maxis is using the same infrastructure as Unifi. You can get a new router if you want but the modem can’t be changed unfortunately.I'm currently on Unifi 30mbps package. Being a loyal customer for years.
