（布城25日讯）振兴“普腾”，从“宝腾”开始！
国家汽车有限公司（PONSB）首席执行员李春荣博士表示，中国都把Proton翻译成“宝腾”，宝腾的翻译明显要比普腾好得多。
“我跟我们的管理层说，我要找个机会通过我们的媒体把Proton的中文译名，从普通的‘普’腾改成宝物的‘宝’腾！”
他今日在马中总商会举办的“第7届马中企业家大会”上发表演说时说，宝腾是一个国家的代号，代表了大马的工业文明，也是大马民族的骄傲，国家的长子，有辉煌的历史，特别是在1996年还收购了莲花（Lotus）。
“今年宝腾汽车将会触底反弹，我们的市占率到10月份开始已经稳住了，有所增长。”
“作为一家汽车公司，代表一个国家的整体实力，如果连空心菜都做不好，怎么能够相信你能把产品质量最好呢？”
李春荣说，他来马后发现当地有一个很有名的菜，叫“Kangkung”（空心菜）；但他去了宝腾的食堂后，发现煮食技术太差了，就提出必须提高食堂的质量。
“我问人事部总监需多长时间，他说：两个月，我说：两个月我还要你吗？两周！我也立刻跟员工说，食堂质量在两周后一定提高，全体员工共同去评估。
“我跟人事部总监说，我话已经说出去了，如果不实现，不是你丢脸就是我丢脸，谁丢脸谁就离开。
“你连为自己服务都做不好，我怎么能够相信你能做得好我的产品，为全体大马人服务呢？”
他说，现在宝腾的食物质量已提高，更欢迎民众到来品尝。
“大马有这么好的食材，为什么不好好做呢？我想通过这个例子来证明，我们是能够把自己的产品和服务做好的，但我们要用心做，朝着成功去做。”

TL;DR:

Apparently Mr Lee changed the China's Brand Name of Proton 普腾 (Pǔ téng) to 宝腾(Bǎo téng) in hopes to improve the brand's image after discussing with the management group.

Blah Blah Blah yata yata.

Somehow he came to Malaysia at Proton's Office, want to try local Kangkung Dish at their Proton Canteen.

Criticized how the kangkung is badly prepared there.
Told the canteen management to improve its quality, but the canteen management says they need 2 months to "change", Mr Lee told the canteen management, to improve it in 2 weeks else they get out.

Later, he added, if the food service is that really bad, how the staff there provide better service to the Malaysian community?

He added, the public will welcome to try Proton's new canteen menu?

like to drag, work slow, or not even get it done after promised that

just like he ask when can improve the food, and they say need 2 months

why do u need 2 months to "improve"? and most likely they will never improve 2 months later,

some are like, it's not my company, anything screw up or lost is not my business, it's boss or the company, i just take salary and done.

or "nvm lah, boss rich mah" , then don't do their work right and making loss to the company/ boss, don't even care

Lots of my colleagues like this.. at last someone else need to clean their shit...but dreaming to work in bigger companies, bigger pay.

But then, ppl like dis enter company through somebody, continuing become a leech.

People in China call Proton as 宝腾(Bǎo téng) but here the local chinese/media translate it to 普腾 (Pǔ téng) which is less desirable translation of Proton. He want local chinese/media to call it 宝腾(Bǎo téng) instead.

He told Proton HR to improve the canteen. Why on earth a canteen got its own HR division.

This has nothing to do about race, it clearly shows the efficiency at Proton is clearly at an all time low and staff are lazy. You give 1 week, a person who does not know how to cook can give you the best kangkung if he practises.

I think he has those chinese mentality.

If your food is shitty, mood of staff eating the food also shitty, productivity also shitty.
Also he did complaint that Proton only knows how to sell car, but doesn't have proper technicians to service their cars.
So this will change next year.

What he mean is all workers in the company from CEO to cleaners have to perform. If not, how to succeed as a company.

However, I think he will have hard time due to mentality of local people...
