Basically developer obtained lease from the land owner and sell a project on stratified basis. Not sure any developer in Malaysia done that before.

Most buyers will not have legal knowledge and implication. but I assume buyers have consulted and attempted for assistance from developer but to no avail.

In any cases, developer shouldn't wash the hand from the issue.

It seems that it is normal practise here in Medini the master land owner only sell lease to developer.

most sophisticated buyers know they are buying registered lease in Medini. but well i don't expect anyone who buy Mah Sing's product to fall under that category.

Would this sophisticated buyers know under current land law they will not able to get strata title and if yes, are they fine with it?

And if there is no strata title for this lease purchase arrangement and not recognized by local land law, how the financier will treat the financing especiallu subsale for such arrangements?

Apparently not just Mahsing but Sunway, E&O, UMLand i.e. developers who bought lease from Medini falls under such arrangements.
