Im currently using the old EC2108E STB which doesnt have much functionality, is it possible to get a free upgrade from TM to get the new STB? Have anyone tried?

It is possible...but with 2 more years contract and 1 year STB warranty. I never ask them whether can install in 3rd party android box or not, but read somewhere that it is possible. the technician need to update ur box info into their system first, then it work as good as their standard box. The catch is u need to use port 4, which is not possbile to use other streaming service e.g. kodi, terrarium and etc (this one already tested with my existing box).
