Last time quite fast, not sure if it's a new policy of delaying bootloader unlock request to "slow" down sales of China phones outside China.  Even a non-developer also could get approval for bootloader unlock in a few days last time    Actually, it's now 360 hours for unlock approval 

And because this is a China phone, you need to connect to a VPN server based in China to bind the phone to your account for unlocking requests.  Same goes for allowing app installs over USB.  Quite the pain in the bum-bum, this one 
There should be no dent marks at all if you know how to open it, mine is OK even after I DIY the bootloop fix.  And please don't update hahaha unless you want the phone to become a doorstopper or waste time re-flashing the phone

Seller do test point & flash china rom coz u dun want to void warranty after u open up the phone.after that unlock boot loader & flash global rom using miflash ur self.

testpoint flash china rom no need unlock BL. after flash china rom only request unlock BL.
once kautim unlock then fastboot flash the Global rom. to flash global rom unlock BL IS A MUST.
after kautim fastboot rom, then you can flash TWRP and then kasi root.

Hi Guys, after 360 hours of waiting, I have successfully unlocked my Redmi 5 Plus.
Does that mean it is safe to update OTA without bricking my phone?

my set is Global Stable ROM, OTA to 9.2.6.0 no issue. now my problem is failed to unlock bootloader. already read the FAQ and follow the steps, my account already applied unlock and permission already granted by sms notification. now stuck bind account & device. error 86006. some said, VPN to China, various of choices tested, no luck. some said stable ROM are not allow, but I check official download, there is no newer development rom, older version of development rom are not allow flash. any solution? when MIUI 10 developer ROM gonna release?
