it is roughly RM820 for the 5+ 4/64 so i guess it'll be RM1k here in Malaysia?

yah no global rom also..
just like my Mi Note 2. global rom is still 8.5.5 and no Miui9
while the lower model have miui9 already

Honor 7x is ~RM990
Redmi 5 is ~ RM599 (directD)
Redmi 5 Plus is ~ RM799 (4gb/64gb)

price aside.. i think cannot put aside because its a budget phone for mid-budget people brows.gif
they are all more or less the same phone. so choose the cheaper one always a good choice for 'budget'ing..
honor 7x: dual camera, 3340 mAH battery
redmi 5+: 4k mAH battery, slightly heavier
f5 youth: 16mp selfie cam, 3200 mAH battery

i guess, the brands is the one making the price difference~

The standard charger is 2.0A without any QC.
This phone for more into bigger screen and better grabbing on hand.
Better screen resolution with color, doesn't give you eye side pain due to usage in longer period.
Camera is good , but not built in image stabilization also same as Mi A1/5X, not as good in low light for hand shakes.
Music sound is awesome, loud and clear, much better than my Mi Mix 2.
Overall is cheap and good phone for late 2017 model.
Software Miui design for user friendly, unlike pure Google on A1, overall is less features than the miui 9.
This phone more worthy and what you pay for. biggrin.gif

Anyway mine is come with Chinese rom laugh.gif

screen: not just the screen brightness.
this is using IPS, so it is not as 'true color' unlike AMOLED screens.

tbh, the viewing angle of IPS screen is not as great
angle a bit and you can see obvious dimming and a little bit tint

but nevermind this, because 80% of the time we will be using the phone straight on (face to face to the screen)

that it the screen portion. others others will give input.

brightness depends on the panel used.
some use samsung, some use sharp,
that it why the brightness level differs
but as i point out, brightness is not the only thing should be measured
i never use Auto Brightness
i always set my brightness to 1/3 to save battery

iphone is not using AMOLED, it is using IPS screen
