Why still got phones come out with 16gb model? Shouldn't 32gb become the standard already?

Is it better to get Redmi 5 or Redmi Note 4? Dont own a Xiaomi phone, so not sure which one is recommended.

Went to try out Redmi 5 Plus at DirectD 222. Feels good and solid, not too big to hold even on 1 hand. Looking at the storage left, it was about 18gb left out of 25gb space. Might just get the 3gb 32gb model
