Would like to understand one thing - let's say we install google launcher (or any other home launcher), does it replace miui straightaway or it is just a skin on top of miui?

One of the phenomenon from MIUI is it closes the background apps after you open them without closing those apps, same time you open another app foreground. This is one of their optimization strategy but it can exhaust the battery and cause system resource management "leakage" as MIUI need to reopen those apps again. More bandwidth and processing power are wasted. Am I "right" on this deduction ?

It's still considered as a rumour. Maybe yes maybe no. Maybe it's referring to other smartphone. Take it with a pinch of salt.

BTW, Redmi 5 plus still not available globally yet and Xiaomi already producing a new Redmi Note series ? DUH
