Just FYI, my redmi 5 plus malaysia official set sucessfully ota updated to v9.2.6.0 without unlocking the bootloader.

Actually if direct d can open up the phone and do test point to flash china rom and still can warranty by them , the price of lazada now rm558 is farking cheap already...

Not really good for me who live in Penang which does not have DirectD outlet.

Then can consider since warranty and services done by the same party.

hardware totally same . just global ver come with global rom than u can direct use it . china ver more cheaper but u must do some job to flash global rom to use in malaysia. For ppl dnt know flash rom or lazy better buy global ver

but you hv to install google service and playstore lagi, better direct flash global rom

If arrive here officialy new model want come out already. Like sifu told. Malaysia is a place for Xiaomi to dump old model. Only their lower & mid range come here early.

By observing the trend, probably will not arrive in here officially
