dont mind xiaomi increase price for their flagship....just make sure the quality and spec is up

china labour & mobile part keep increasing , really hard for mi to retain the price with higher spec....


maybe in future they will pack inhouse processor liao..... anyway still prefer Snapdragon processor

been using Miui since 2012 for xperia X8....

for xiaomi phone value for money , u get what you pay.... at least xiaomi wont cheat consumer UFS mix EMMC , P9 photos taken by DSLR even P10 using lousy LTPS low end screen compared to mi....
if got budget better go for HTC , Sony , samsung or pixel.... no point getting huuwei mobile , look at honor 8 can't upgrade to oreo liao....

The display is far far better compared to[owned the phone - Redmi note 4 and a1 ][review by china bilibili - honor 7x , meizu m6s , 360 5] that why mi retain the SoC625 , caused Mi use better display compared to competitors , the price still remain 999RMB.

wooow , just tried out mi5 charger , this phone support quick charged. top of the notification barshow quick charged icon. far better compared to redmi note 4 which take 2 and half hours to fully charged , redmi 5 plus take 1 and half hours for fully charged.

the phone come with silicone softcase.

the camera for redmi series just so so only , can't expect much due to budget phone with fullview display and midrange SoC.

Redmi note 4 price RM599 , Redmi 5 plus latest price is 688... for those plan to get redmi note 4 better top up another RM89 for better display + quick charge + better camera + better audio quality.

Due to USD dropped , really good timing to get this phone , after election USD will raise again and the price will naik liao.

3GB is far enough if use as sparephone , normally 500mb - 1.2gb free ram.

is depend on you bro.... 5 plus with fullview display 5.99.... nokia 6 better build quality and better SoC SD630....

phone below 1.1K with fullview display, compared to honor 7x and meizu 6s and 360 n5... redmi 5 plus display is da best...

I prefer Snapdragon processor compared to others.... huge of roms available......

look at huawei honor 8....haha.... 1 year +++ phone cant update to oreo d..... I won't buy huuwe nowadaysi due to poor support & cheat consumers...... selling premium price with poor parts .... if lower their price might consider it....

look at P10 compared to mi6.... mi6 with UFS better display , chrome + glass back the cost is higher compared to p10 which using EMMC + without antifingerprint coated.... if sell murah sure people wont bising...but they selling premium price really

hmmm..... feel like Mi a1 smooth then Miui 9.....

for new redmi 5 / note 5A series all locked with bootloader.... need take 15days to unlock it..... testpoint method is not working on unoffical miui rom liao....

once u flash official rom.....will automatic relog your bootloader & yea u need to do bootloader unlock again..... no need to wait 15 days liao.....for me opinion better relock your bootloader once you flashed the firmware..... otherwise your handphone hilang they can flash directly without unlock bootloader d

hmmmm....I think they trying to KO 3rd party seller .... for global market maybe they will release new rom for global market which sell by mi not under 3rd party seller..... I check on en miui forum ....they suggest to return the unit to the seller.... in future you duno mi will foced unofficial rom unable to bootup the device ....

hmm I think a long journey for mi to improved their quality , even Mi home product quality is far better compared to mi phone. Oppo/Vivo/Oneplus assembly quality good too...

evem they release need take 15days too unlock bootloader....testpoint method Unoffical Rom message will pop up once u connect to the internet.

this is new rules set by Miui Team to prevent 3rd party seller install bloatware / virus to the phone.

for 3rd party seller they claim the rom as Global rom which is fake rom. Bought Redmi 4 from satugadget , used roughly 3months there is no update at all , fake rom abit laggy while u scorlling side by side. Can't tahan then I flash to China stable until Global Rom is out. Dislike china miui huge of advertising , for now still prefer vanila OS instead of Miui , kosong and smooth without bloatware.

I think the price will more then 1299....as now Mi clearing 5X in china and replace redmi note 5 ..... maybe the price will be 1299 3/32GB and 4+64GB for 1499?
