When buying HDMI cables are tricky. It's very hard to determine which cables at the store is HDMI 1.4a and capable of 2160p 30Hz Chroma 4:4:4. Unless someone tested it and proven it's supported.
A cheap cable has possibility that it's able to support, where an expensive cables might not able to support. I know we have this issue identifying them. As for me I use philips http://www.markdownelectricals.co.uk/popup...ge.php?pID=2681 Stated High Speed 1.3a but it's capable of max settings 2160p 30Hz Chroma 4:4:4 when connected between Himedia Q10pro and LG B6 Oled This post has been edited by Vannus: May 9 2017, 05:56 PM |

QUOTE(piscesguy @ Apr 22 2007, 08:18 PM) Just bought a new HDMI cable to replace my faulty PHILIPS cable. If you are looking for HDMI cable, go for QED Reference HDMI cable. Its would be a great replacement for your Philips cable > http://cmy.com.my/product_info_407001-100056.htmCosts me RM 180 for 2 meters. Actually didn't feel any difference in terms of picture quality if compare to the more expensive PHILIPS cable. |

QUOTE(MatrixRevo @ Sep 28 2017, 04:09 PM) If you need > 50 foot HDMI cable, then you need an hDMI extender which uses a Cat 6 cable (LAN cable) to connect. This is because the HDMI cable has problem when over that distance... I wouldn't use anything less than a fibre optic HDMI cable if over 50 ft cables are needed.Personally i have used a 15foot HDMI cable before. No problem. But never needed more than that. |

I wanna buy a decent HDMI cable to connect my Astro decoder into a HD TV. Can anyone recommend me a decent brand? I think less than 2m long is more than enough for me.
