Excuse... isn't the current Serena S-Hybrid and your so-called previous is the same C26 fourth gen Serena? Whether pre-facelift or facelift, it's still the same generation.

As what cutypuppy is trying to say, usually when the 1st batch comes in, it's in CBU form. And eventually, it will be made available in CKD form. But for the current C26 model, TCM decided to CKD the facelifted instead of offering the pre-facelifted here in Msia.

It seems you are still not clear nor want to understand how cars are classified based on their generations and their product periodic updates. And plz, it's not an assumption but a fact.

I think every other Car Dealers does this. Hefty discounts after it become "cold" so it's not restiricted to TCM alone.

I get what you mean and I agree it is wise to wait for good offering before rush in to buy one. But sometimes the joy and excitement being the first to own new models are simply fantastic.....obviously it has a price too hahaha.

For Hyundai Ioniq, HK version even does not have LKAS, AEB etc...
so i think if in Malaysia, hopefully it has some feature of ProPilot from Japan too
for automtically curise in highway it is not possible now, if like ioniq, half half auto then still possible

if like the same, i think TC will still use "10 airbags" instead of "6 air bags" in the catalog later :-)

HK version the HU is 3rd party, i think TC will still look for 3rd party HU too, hope not the crap crap one

HK CBU price is 330K HKD, equivalent to 170K RM
MY is CKD and got tax incentive, if RM 160K same spec from japan, it is still attractive

in reality it is not possible same spec as japan because different country different law..
hopefully remain same price around 140-150k with attractive spec and gift (such as the 'small table' put in the car boot)

More security features pls, mpv is a family car.. The back switch to open side door, cam it be turn off? Imagine back row,normally kids sits, press that button when the car is moving.

this segment for 160K in Malaysia will never work. compare to HK, the price is attractive, everything in HK is expensive. I don't think we will have a lot of high tech toys like they have in Japan but we will have more than HK or equivalent. (this is from my research and Malaysia marketing point of view after seeing how TCM sells their specs, no doubt I not able to confirm and who knows TCM making major marketing breakthru.)

I think TCM will stick back to S26 price for S27, maybe slightly higher for first batch (if not they wouldn't give so much rebate on this S26 model if S27 price is higher than it a lot)

unless TCM wanted to compete with Mr.Honta & Mr.Tolota but both mid MPV can't compete yet because this segment for model sparta & noah is not in Malaysia (*yet, maybe just don't), then will be benefit from it otherwise dream on 

but chr, brv n hrv are totally different segment. they got no sliding, 8 seats and price difference. even brv can seat 8 but very tight.. unless compete with inova but no sliding door..

not my favorite 2 tones white/black, so sad 😣
