QUOTE(krishtiano86 @ Feb 3 2018, 07:57 PM) Device protection is optional if you are with Celcom for more than a year. Sorry just read your post again. No only waived if you are Celcom for more than a year not other telcos. For existing subscribers, you would need to pay it only the first month. After that you can request for the monthly protection charges be stopped

QUOTE(krishtiano86 @ Feb 4 2018, 11:56 AM) Really? Have you done this Ben? I thought it’s compulsory for the full 24 months. Yes. Definitely. I only paid 1 the first month. On second month I requested cancellation

QUOTE(gunnerstkd @ Feb 4 2018, 01:36 PM) Hey benny, I thought the protection plan is optional if you are an existing celcom customer for at least a year. Which means you don't even need to pay the rm50 for the 1st month. But I guess they won't allow new customers for cancellation on month 2 onwards for that protection plan. It was rm12 not rm50 for me. I didn't ask for opt out since I could cancell it on month 2

My experience with Celcom : no need ever need to make any advance payment for phones purchased with their plan. It is always quick and easy. Had bought 2 iPhones, a HW Mate 10 and Samsung S5 . All phones taken on spot.
