Hi, I would like to setup a PC for trading, thinking to have a 32" 4k screen, any recommendation of specs and budget required to setup the PC with this size of screen?

Or I can just use my laptop and connect to 32" screen, would it be possible to view more details in this way, much cheaper though.

Thank you and appreciate.

Use HDMI cable instead of VGA. Save cost on building a PC.

Bro suggest me to connect laptop with 32" TV via HDMI instead of 32" monitor? Much cheaper alternative in your opinion?

TV
Your laptop graphic card cannot handle anything over 1080p including 4K.
Solution : Build a PC.
Cost : Brand new 32" 4K  TV + New PC setup

MONITOR
32" monitor way more pricey than TV.
Cost : 32" monitor + HDMI cable
*
Thanks for the clarification.

32" 4K TV + PC
Mind to share what specs of PC setup especially graphic card requirement to run smoothly for MT4 with 30~40+ of currencies chart opened?

Or would you suggest

Multi smaller 2nd hand normal monitors + PC
Would this much cost effective? I know the graphic card with 4/more outputs is required.

Unlikely, Maybank SG is under the jurisdiction of MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore), not under BNM.

So all of you have SG account to transfer in out money on fx trading?

Hi all,

In June, i set aside a sum of fund which I assumed it was dumped into a sea, invested the fund to high risk forex trading handled by a experienced trader. So far the performance I deem is great compared to my existing conservative investment portfolio in ASX/FD. If the dumped fund still here and become bigger by end of the year, I'm thinking to dump in more to the sea, but still within my comfortable level. Do you think a 6 mths test water from June to Dec 2018 sufficient to make the dump or no dump decision?

Not worth to dump money to the sea man , please donate it to charity haha

just let the initial capital grow it if work , and take out certain profit as profit then never put in extra money , as most forex manager cant sustain in long term.

just my 2cents

Thanks mate.

May be I just stay put the existing dumped fund, and continue to draw the profit to bank, and forget about it. Before I dumped in June, I have monitor his works about 3 months, and his ability is outstanding. Feel wasted if this kind of trader not appreciated, anyway.

Hmm, may be I should not be greedy, just continue to watch if the fund disappear from sight like needle in the sea. Just treat it as another passive income to build part of portfolio.

Will see how it performance until year end.

6 Nov is the election date. Personal view I think most of the traders will start to rest from next week onwards to end of election or after one or two days (depends on the result's impact and volatility).

Hmm..i see..thanks for the info.

That is Martingale. I would stay away from this kind of trader. The problem with Martingale is that it cannot sustain profit for a long time and eventually will burn the account.

QUOTE(cmk96 @ Nov 9 2018, 06:14 PM)
I will support martingle style if he has good MM. I know some good traders use the same strategy with success.
*
Need to withdraw the profit from time to time. To be safe.
I'm currently in few accounts in portfolio with different strategy, martingale and grid/martingale alike. And monitor another 1 which is much stable. Building a portfolio with different strategy to diversify the vested fund.

Tbh, that's a bit too long to be stuck on a demo.

You should deposit a minimum amount on an account.

I'm also stuck into the trader cycle for many years, longer than GoodBoy92, ding ding dong dong, wasted my time. I'm hardworking but may not brilliant enough to get out from the cycle. Sometimes someone just not born to be.

So I just start to pay other who is good to do the job, trade on behalf, pay him/her commission on profit. Ya, sounds like much higher risk, and sharing out the hell profit as commission from my hard earned capital and I bear with the full risk. Anyway, have to pay for the skill which I can't grasp on.

There are many good EAs in the market, but the essential is the settings of parameter.

It's like F1, Ferrari is the setting, the driver is like the setting.

Cmk96 , most professional trader will say it was bad , but some people make it work

1 point here was his average pips losses are more than winner , it was a losing strategy afterall.

all my vested strategies in portfolio are avg lose pips > avg win pips shakehead.gif
and profitable whistling.gif

mind to comments for the strategies (in my signature), thanks nod.gif

that was an big amount of money there , your ave lose > ave win

what i mean was total pips win < total pips lose

yours was very good , win ratio , risk reward all very very good

the only thing was the results are not proven over time yet

just 2 week you have 20% profit d , very good ( profile stated start from 29/10/18 )
*
I see. I actually vested with another strategy in portfolio which total pips win < total pips lose, but the profitability is high and the risk relatively high. So I did not share out the details as only recommended to those already have existing vested strategy and want to diversify. You statement might be right as I can't comment as amongst my vested strategies only one having such ratio.

BTFX, it's really new that I'm still monitoring. Need to testify over a period. As it only focus on few currencies pair and the MM is relatively strong, I notice the recovering from DD is very quick. But no harm to join as small portion of your portfolio.

that's good enough, at least you have flexible life with not governed by employment. thumbup.gif
