Hi All Sifus,

I am new but have done my homework. Learn via babypips and watched youtubes.
I have registered a demo account and now planning to open a new live account in xm in order to join their coming seminar.

Is there anything such as introducer bonus if I register via someone? Or just register via their website?
After going through the long forum
I have gathered the following:

1) No fail safe method to withdraw money back to our country.
Current option are skrill, wired transfer and third party. Can be blocked anytime.

2) Can't do forex full time since it's illegal.
Otherwise need to do money laundering to declare them to buy house, car etc...

Appreciate the advise. Thanks.

I don't care much, I'm going to do full time rolleyes.gif

Hi All sifu, I'm a beginner and wanting to learn. I saw first post and saw many useful links so I'll start there. Thanks for that

However I've heard many "rumours" saying forex is illegal in Malaysia and you need a SG bank account and all, is that true? Based on 1st post, these brokers are legit? Which 1 are you guys using the most? Thanks.

Broker/Market Maker:
instaforex | FXopen | FXCM UK | FxPRIMUS | FxPro | xm.com - Trade Forex With XM™‎

It's a "fact" that forex is illegal in Malaysia, not a "rumours" doh.gif

I'm not using any of the brokers above, I'm using IC markets

Hello everyone. Im probably new in this thread. Ive been trading for 3 years and still consider myself to be an amateur. However, on to my question.

I am aware that foreign capital gain wont be taxed in malaysia. (Source : KCLau) lets say you are making a few profits monthly and withdrawing consistently every month (put in mind you also have other means of income in malaysia eg business/work) , will it effect in the future when i want to purchase asset/etc knowing youre making good money from forex trading?

Pls advice. Thank you

Just don't let them know your good money are making from forex trading. wink.gif

Tried. Once I kena IC markets 100 over pips spread, and hit my stoploss. That was many years ago.
OANDA has better track record.

100 pips spread @@

what was the currency you traded on that time?

I am using IC markets currently

Do you guys think a forex competition organized by those broker was ridiculous?

If you could earn 300% or 1000% returns on that month, why would you care the 1000$ prize? biggrin.gif

Just wanted to share my experience to fellow forumers here. I have been trading for about 8 years or so now. What I would say is, you have to code and test your strategies/ideas in order to know if it is profitable.

Some of them look very promising on the chart (visually), but when you code and test them, they are not profitable. I have encountered many of this situation. Another way is to forward test but it's slow because you will be testing it on live market for a duration of time. However, if your trading is discretionary, then your only choice is to forward test.

Getting a high return, above 100% (without a high drawdown) a year is quite hard. Not impossible, but hard. I am happy with my EA which generates about 30-50% a year. The longer I trade and develop strategies, the more I believe that there's no holy grail. It could exist, who knows.

Trading is simple if you can find the key to profitable trading.

I agree with you, every profitable trading systems must have its weakness.

With your experience, are you a full time trader? So far I never met a real full time trader, how is the life of a full time trader?
