Hi all pros, I've studied forex on my own for more than a year but has stopped recently due to constant losses... Though I'm still reading the market everyday..

I've tried advanced patterns and elliot waves, both gave around 30% win rate.
How much is u guys' win rate? Not counting breakeven trades..

BTW what strategies u guys practicing currently?

Some put 20, some 10, some dont even have stop loss..

It all depends on your strategy.. Or even your emotion when you trade.

Not true. It's difficult to be consistently profitable even on a demo account.

Just wandering. Why doesn't anyone here trade crypto as an alternative to Forex?

For me, I am shifting to crypto mostly now because it has no broker-client conflict of interest (market maker).

Also the market is 24/7. You can trade even on weekends and there's no weekly gap like forex. Which sometime will cause you losses due to the gap especially when something happens during the weekend.

I trade on cex.io & binance.
Crypto was my first trading experience and I seldom wonder why the heck I did not do trading before?

There is no surprise here. That is why we use 3 currency pairs to determine this. For example, USD/MYR has improved to 3.9.. you can't tel which of the pair has gone up and which has gone down. So you take another pair like EUR/USD.. which also shows EUR going up. Then you take EUR/MYR and realised that we are not gaining on EUR.

This 3 pairs then confirms that it is the USD that is dropping and not MYR gaining against it. No surprise.
*
By not gaining do u mean EUR/MYR is going sideways or up?

Also, would u need to consider the magnitude of the move?

Let say, if the EUR strengthens against the USD more than MYR does, EUR/MYR will be going up. Then, it's not that straight forward to conclude that it's the USD dropping?
