So how long u need to go to each rank?  Around what age. Im just gauging the industry compared to others.. E. G for other fields u reach senior officer around 30.

Thanks bro. I speak because I'm in maritime and I know pretty well with the salary of officers. Nowadays even old time captains can't really find job if they stand firm on the salary, as an employer they would just promote someone from staff capt/chief off to captain with lower salary or hire desperate captains that needs a job because he/she is retrenched. Its supply and demand industry unless you're damm qualified that the company can't live without you.

The good old days where crazy high salary is not that common anymore unless you're working for O&G in north sea but then to step the foot inside you need connections and mafia. They don't just take outsiders like that.

North sea also Tak da last time rate Liao loo .. u can try apply n check the rate .. hehe .. famous oil major aramco also lousy rate edi ... Now rate not bad is for those project guys and specifically for white guys only ... Ops supt or ocm ..

my schoolmate work for oil ship died while on duty coz of heatstroke. he was working at ship engine when shift end, he go back to room to sleep but straight prngsan.

baru kawen, not sure how much her janda get for compensation. anak belum ada...pity him.
