Been torn between the new Myvi or just getting a good condition used Inspira.

Able to afford either one. Economy makes me wanna choose myvi, but the boy in me always wanted
a mean looking car that is capable of good handling, spirited and stable driving.

Modern safety features and gadgets, vs just a really fun ride, with room to mod + more boot space.

Opinions?

Edit: Nice info and advice all around.. thank you sifus.

But in the end.. i just got an old stock ‘new-ish’ but used Suprima S instead, odo only at 26k km
( i know some of y’all will say i got conned, but left 4 years warranty left). Previous owner had to
let go due to work reasons, and had changed the tires to new nexen, as well as Ultra Racing struts
installed.

I guess it striked a balance for the tech/performance criteria that i was looking for, although boot space
had to be sacrificed. Love the handling, everything else is a big step up from my old car. Guzzles fuel like
a thirsty dog though, and the distinctive whine from the turbo is kinda anoyying but it’s as expected. And i
have always admired the rear design although it is indeed an acquired taste.

Quite happy with it so far!

Myvi win in safety anytime...

Short distance 1.3 , Long distance go for 1.5.

The new my vi will be a very common car on the road. You will just be like anyone else. Malaysian roads will be flooded with the new my vi. It’s a good car but it will make no heads turn. I would rather.get another car

Inspira is dated and ugly... go for the Kia forte instead

Otherwise go testdrive the myvi 1.5L before making a decision. RM55k buys you all the gadgets with 6 airbags vs bare minimum of Inspira

inspira, spirited? Hahahaha....

maybe after you install suspension, evox halfcut... MAYBE... stock 1.8 manual, no. CVT 2.0 no... none of these models are good for spirited driving.

inspira 1.8 manual yes, spirited with a bit sportier version..
myvi 1.5 auto 4 speeder its not spirited at all, with ECO mode its quite the opposite of it design purpose which is to save fuel..

but please do test drive both to clear things up...

neither myvi nor inspira...real men go for BMWs.
- mean looking car ... yes, you see the kidney grill on your rear view mirror means you need to move over.
- good handling ... yes
- stable ... yes

if u have really tight budget, don't simply go C segment just because u can barely afford a used one.
the cost of maintenance, replacing tyre size, fuel for 2.0 etc all are a level above B segment car

Of course new Myvi la, reasonable price with good FC, sooner fuel price will hike up to RM3.00/ liter in future, if global price hit USD80/ barrel, potong is famous in fuel guzzler machine.
