How do you guys buy bed and mattress? Comfy for sleep and piap2? I read thru blogs and mostly would tell:

- Buy spring coz foam is hot
- Buy spring + foam coz better than above but expensive
- dan lain2

Spending RM800-1000 only not enough izit?

Personally, I don't skimp on my mattress/bed, that's the only budget I feel I'm entitled to spend more on. I mean seriously, we all spend 25-30% of our Life on these mattresses! I can't brain how some people can spend more on their ipong and gadgets and skimp on a mattress blink.gif

When I bought my mattress, I went to the respective mattress boutique, and tested on those that I'm interested in. The mattress which I eventually bought, I think I slept for about an hour on that mattress. Do go through different brands to try them out yourself, or with your spouse. Initially we thought Tempur would be great, but it just doesn't suit us. We ended up with a RM 27k mattress, fit for a King (or a president, well they had Obama and the whitehouse picture there stating they use this mattress biggrin.gif ), this was with 50% discount icon_rolleyes.gif wouldn't buy it at full price though... still it is the one piece of furniture at home I look forward to anytime, any day. thumbup.gif

May I know what brand is the latex mattress? What's the benefits of latex? No spring?

People underestimate how important is your bed mattress. I know alot of people who suffer back pain and find out its cause of the mattress.
You spend 8 hours a day on it. Those super soft ones are actually not good for your back in the long run. I bought some brands that looks value but end up the latex sink and exchange for a reputable brand.
Well theres a reason why some cost 5 digits.

bed quality almost irrelevant

you need good pillows on your head/neck, lower back, and back knee if spine care is crucial

heck even a comfy soft thick futon over hard flooring is fine

So many generalities. Please post specifics. I am currently using a King Koil mattress which I believe is made using coconut fibres. I rather like it because it seems cool but it doesn't last long at all. Seems very saggy after only about 6 years. From what I read however, this is normal for coconut fibre mattresses.

I'm looking to buy a new one now and would appreciate recommendations. Brands, types, places to buy etc. I notice that places like Lazada also sell them now and they seem a lot cheaper than the advertisement flyers I see from furniture shops. Comments anyone?

Just get latex mattress. Price range about 3k to 5k should be sufficient.
