Hi everyone. I am new to Hot Wheels. Only started 2 months ago when someone gave me his Gulf models nos 1 and 2 and told me to find the rest (he got bored and was too lazy to do it).

My collection so far. I am waiting for a couple more sets to arrive. The 2018 Circuit Legends Advan and 2019 OPen Track. Hopefully I won't be too crazy with this collection. There seems to be a lot!!!!

Yup! Around RM500 (incl postage) from eBay US, plus another RM100 for the Nissan Skyline without the roll cage. Someone told me that I paid too much for the set but c'est la vie.

My thoughts exactly but then Rm105 went for courier delivery as it was insisted by the seller. I had requested for normal postage but he was having none of it as he didn't want them lost in the post. I did see his point. It came in a medium sized box wrapped with cling film and packed with bubble wrap.

I noticed locally in Lazada, et al, that sellers are asking RM600+ for this set!!

I only found one variant so far on line. The Nissan Skyline HT 2000GTX (no 3 in the set). One with roll cage and one without. I dont know which of the two is the rarer. You can see the roll cage in one of the pics

I am trying to find this locally or online but no success, so far. It is a Color Shifter, turns to pink when cold.

No. i don't have this yet. Those that I found on line won't sell it, either loose or as a 3 pack. If you know of anyone who want to sell it, please let me know.

Yeah but I don't have the 3 pack yet. The second group of pics I posted are the ones I am still looking, 3 pack included.

Today's arrival. The three I had before (in the first group of pics) are Factory Sealed ones (500 of each). These are normal ones.

I am tempted to get the HW Checkmate series especially the King Kuda STH is still sub RM100 in price but I will need another box.

These arrived last week. I just love Star Trek, so when I found these online....can't resist. I understand there is a second newer set (with actual pics of the actors). I will get them as well.

Ya lah. Wallet getting lighter everyday....

Honestly, when I started a few months ago, I kind of underestimated the range of Hot Wheels. I thought it was just the few you see here and there in 7-11 or Giant. Then I went to Amcorp Mall on a Sunday and my first thought was "Faaaaaarrrrrk me!" The first few sets I bought were done on a whim or because I like them, no thought were given on the value or rarity or such models. That is why I bought the Japan Historics and Historics 2 sets because I like them. The same went for the Gulf and Star Trek sets.

After a while I figured that I can't go on buying sets like these at random. That is why I chose to collect just the Hot Wheels 2008 Evo cars because I saw them everywhere and thought that they will be easier to find and affordable too. I was half right. They were easy to find at first but getting harder to find those 'rare' ones.

If anyone knows anyone who have the ones pictures in post #1095, please give me shout.

Today's arrival. They look alike but the bottom one is deeper yellow in colour...a bit orange-y.

BTW, other than Amcorp Mall or on-line, does anyone knows where in ulu klang/ampang area I can find the protector cases?
