Some of Hot Wheels Terminology:
1. ERROR - Hot Wheels with mistake, this either referring to error in car or the card. Error could be wrong wheels, tampo, window, wrong car in card, etc.
2. DEFECT - the same as ERROR... they are both UN-intentional and is NOT mass produced. ..
3. VARIATION - Derivation from the same model, most of the time is variation of colour and tampo.
4. TAMPO - Painted designs that are pre-applied to castings through a pad press process.
5. WAVES - Assortment of the models in each carton. Mattel arrange the assortment according to the wave code in size of 72 cars in a carton. Collectors always refer new wave to new models out to market.
6. DEAD CASE - Means the box/case of 72 hotwheel cars did not contain any Treasure Hunt/$ cars.
7. CASTING - General term that refers to the Hot Wheels model.

1. JDM (Japan Domestic Market cars).
2. Aftermarket custom wheels.
3. Car Culture series.
4. Automaton (automated moving parts) (Casting example Crate Racer, Shark Bite, Gotta Go, etc).
5. More detailed & attractive modern tampo designs.

The car is dark blue. I thought it was black like in card picture.

its actually really black if i see it directly with my eyes. just like the picture.

Hi guys.. new here in this thread. Used to collect HWs when small kid..i still remembered my dad used to bring me
to pasar pagi and lots of stalls displayed their HWs on the floor mat for selling. Good times.

Had lots of it, but dont know where are them now already

Just manage to rekindle my interest on HWs earlier this year... but only for selected models (HWs prices seriously inflated, but we buy them anyways )

Bought these batmobiles in Amcorp mall..and Snoopy in Popular. Hoping to extend my collection on Batmobiles

Went back to my kampung & found a HW hobbyist selling boatload of them (including hot times like civic EF & CRX, but I only buy Mercedes-AMG GT & 911 GT3 RS)

Yesterday i went KL to get some work done, i walked into TRU and lo behold!!! Complete case D! Did not pull trigger also. The interest really waning kaw kaw already.....

Real life seen many times girls and ladies buying HW by the bucket loads also. I dunno la they buy for hubby or kids or reseller. But many times seen already.

My wife spent >RM250 during the recent HW roadshow at Sunway Putra Mall for my 2-yr old boy.
And this is how my son plays with the free Limited Edition Datsun

And he already lost one of the X-raycer at his grandma's house
