Actually what's the actual distance you are allow to drive on ?

some american guide say they should allow you to drive on highways, slopes, curvy roads to try out the feeling of the car. Heck some even ask you to try driving over some bumps or small pot holes to see if the suspension suits you, and even try reverse parking to see if you like it.

But most of the showroom just bring you 1 round then come back edi, less than 1 km and mostly flat road.

if test drive at peak hour..basically is testing comfortable level instead of car handling ..lol

Depends on your upkeep, appearance, what grade your credit card is, how atas your wristwatch, how you dress, and how hnngggh your wife/girlfriend you brought along is...

IN oz, my BMW test drive is 24 hour, go showroom, sign up and give them my CC, collect car and drive for one full day (don't exit 150KM) ....

Haha,, is a pickup truck call Isuzu Dmax,, no many ppl notice that , Dmax actually is a decent pickup truck...
There are many reason why now days are getting popular instead of sedan car ...

My showroom was located at puchong kinrara,, that's why I can can bring my clients travel more further way to test drive the vehicles , to know how decent are about Isuzu dmax ..

At my showroom ,, we also provided test drive for commercial lorries ...

So far vw penchala the best. Suruh test accelaration and speed on penchala link, go kg penchala whack the bad road, see bump, speed up take bump laju laju. No mercy to the car.

Meanwhile nissan subang drive slowly around the shop area 1 round.... No gip masuk main road.... Who the fak gonna buy their car like that

It's ok,, over all it's still given a new perfection of 4x4 pickup truck ...

Ask your self,,, when was the last time you really allowing fully test a brand new car which totally understand about the car features ...

But Isuzu Dmax, is nothing new to be shout, as not everyone interested about 4x4 pickup truck ... but when it's comes to raining season or fuel efficiency, or even handling of the car,,
Dmax still among the best choice to own for long periods used.

For me,, I'm rather more prefer a car lover will understand about a useful of a pickup truck , or make a rush decision to purchase a car that u even don't really understand a useful of certain car model ...
cuma shj tahu ,, this Honda, Toyota or this iphone or samsung ..

Everyone use it,, so me also need to follow ,, confirm ada gaya dulu ... this is most ppl attitude now days ....

dunno, some showroom i saw got "dedicated" route and even have a drawing showing can only go where only.

So just want to find out before I'm violating any unwritten rules

Depends on what type of car. Why would you want to test off road for normal car.

I think you can divert to a different route while on the midst of the test drive .....go through some bumpy roads or what not.
Ask them upfront first lo.
When i test out city ......the SA don't care....he said....anywhere also can drive to ......congested roads ke...highway ke....jammed roads ke...to test ride comfort in most types of scenarios. During the longer drive he will point out and explain the good points of the car when stuck in jam.

last time i test drive new mazda 3 from mazda federal showroom

SA said go around and pusing here, very short distance

i didnt listen and took longer along federal highway and drove like myvi drivers

that SA freaked out haha

need to know the salesman via friend intro and not walkin showroom.

so far my experience from proton. perodua, toyota, nissan, mitsu, bmw, merc, audi etc

Walkin showroom - you only get to drive pre-determined route
Friend intro a friend that is salesman - he can drive the car to your house and then you just drive around any route up to you.

Bontot sakit when I tested the dmax. Fuel efficiency so far the best but power still need to increase. When is new 1.9L engine coming?
