haha, gem td nice game, but with a little luck, the only challenge left is beating the extreme final test. esp with ver 2.2 luck is not as vital as before, as u can gamble (err - that statement maybe a bit oxymoronic)
anyway, general tips are 1. join 3 non-consecutive points 2. maze round the + 3. get a few slates (esp ancients) 4. aim for strong combos (jade, dark em,gold, etc) 5. dont simply choose gem, must have target in mind Added on April 21, 2007, 5:47 pmand dont play cv la, play the ori version This post has been edited by soon2: Apr 21 2007, 05:47 PM |

Make a list of gems u need. All gems that can combine into a special gem will be in the list. All your gems should be special.
Never remove any rock. U need those to maze unless u maze wrongly. It's easy to reach Lvl 42, but can u kill the Lvl 50 Damage Test? |

GemTD damn nice... but u need luck as well. LOTS of luck. played until lvl 30 something but still didn't get SLATE at all. damn sad. there was this one time i played lvl 15 i got already 4 SLATE. its all about the luck. but then odin damn geng i dunno how he do it la. probably play cheat/bug?

to get to level 42 is easy .. to kill that mofo lvl42 lucifer is the tough task, but key to killin him is have at least 2 or more ancient slates, n 1 wraith slate.. place them near n strategically. damn siok to see him almost perma-stunned when he pass the slates setup.. but knn damn potong stim la never kill him even once!

1st time trying but thanx to some reading and a lot of advice from teammates , managed to kill doom too
Using a combination of 3 ancient,1 hold and 2 wraiths at the most concentrated part of my maze, the doom like stuck there only...  |

unfortunately, v2.7 does not allow same slates to be placed too close to each other. So now cannot rely on Ancient's "perma-stun" anymore

Race has less money. Incentives only at every 10 levels.
Whereby classic after first boss (i think), gives extra incentives to every first and 2nd player who finishes first. |

Some ppl play which ever mode easier just to please themselves. i play race when i play alone. Hate waiting for next round, lol. Classic only when play with others. Able to kill first & 2nd damage test = a loadsa money if you can't get jade.

Has anyone managed to kill last dmg test in the versions where hold/ancient slates cant be stacked ah? Odin's replay is awesome but if I'm not wrong he used the permastun tactic which cant be used in v 3.0 anymore?

Killing before 2.7 when they allowed stacking of ancients quite easy I think.
Anyone managed to kill in 3.0 without stacking ancients? I managed 1.1mil + dmg, maybe if I had more pink diamonds.. >_> |

Wah just watched ur replay... quite amazing the 4 dark emeralds. @@ I'm also puzzled how u managed to survive midgame with not even blood star or upgraded jade.. I guess u were counting on getting lucky during ur first few turns after maxxing gem quality? And is elder slate worthwhile to make? Why ah?
Btw, is it true that jade towers' ministun will override the ancient slate's hold and shorten it? |

To survive in gem td one don't need great towers, but you need a great skill on making maze.Btw, is it true that jade towers' ministun will override the ancient slate's hold and shorten it? I was able to prevent leaking before I done my maze and started to replace rocks with towers just by those normal towers. After that you'll found out when you're replacing the rocks with towers, you'll get tower that you wanted very easily. I once pissed off cause I can't get good towers before I done my maze. But after a few games I realized that maze actually more important than tower in early/mid game. I killed the race's boss once only, with 2-3-2 of ancient slates. And yes jade ministuns will override ancient slate's hold. If lets say your ancient slate hold the creeps on the 1st second, and when on the 2nd second, jade give stun hit. So on 3rd second, the monster will free. So its better if you don't build jade that often. It will only screw up when you're trying hard to kill the bosses. |

Err lAhos, I do know the common way to build a good maze, the one that makes creeps go thru 6 times. Otherwise I don't think I could've done 1.1mil dmg

3.1 race mode n normal mode i've beaten all hehe
race mode the boss got 2,000,000 hp was lucky enought to get an early elder slate, which in the end has a -23 armour spell |

Killed both damage tests in one round. Killed every creep but one that leaked past with 300 health.

3.16 much harder, i oni manage to kill extreme race boss twice .. the previous versions before much easier.
btw anyone seen 'Stone of Brynx' before?.... its what wat u get when u combined 4 perfects. which gives 50% damage aura & 500-500 damage.  This post has been edited by Titan_GigAs: Dec 27 2007, 09:56 PM |

Wah they still producing new versions. Damn I never even managed to kill the extreme race boss in the earlier ones.. guess my chance's gone now.
