Killing before 2.7 when they allowed stacking of ancients quite easy I think.

Anyone managed to kill in 3.0 without stacking ancients? I managed 1.1mil + dmg, maybe if I had more pink diamonds.. >_>

1 ancient, 2 jade, 2 dark emeralds, 2 pink diamond, 2 black opals did the trick for me

although that build would fail in a real race mode

Do 2 black opals' aura stack? o_O

Btw why would it fail in race? I thought the final test for classic and race is same? I only play race tho so...

Upgrade 1 black opal, dun upgrade the other...

the final test for classic and race are different, race got more hp i think...i meant that this build means u will kill creeps very slowly and will surely lose any race if playing with other ppl, but u might kill the rerunner first time round and kill the final test

when i get it again i'll post the replay

EDIT: what luck, manage to get it in single-player...1 ancient, 4 dark emeralds , but how the heck do i upload it?

Strange, in race mode also I don't aim to win, but to kill dmg test haha. Omg how did u get so lucky as to get 4 dark emeralds.. >_< err try filefront?

Wah just watched ur replay... quite amazing the 4 dark emeralds. @@ I'm also puzzled how u managed to survive midgame with not even blood star or upgraded jade.. I guess u were counting on getting lucky during ur first few turns after maxxing gem quality? And is elder slate worthwhile to make? Why ah?

Btw, is it true that jade towers' ministun will override the ancient slate's hold and shorten it?

To survive in gem td one don't need great towers, but you need a great skill on making maze.
I was able to prevent leaking before I done my maze and started to replace rocks with towers just by those normal towers.
After that you'll found out when you're replacing the rocks with towers, you'll get tower that you wanted very easily.
I once pissed off cause I can't get good towers before I done my maze.
But after a few games I realized that maze actually more important than tower in early/mid game.
I killed the race's boss once only, with 2-3-2 of ancient slates.

And yes jade ministuns will override ancient slate's hold.
If lets say your ancient slate hold the creeps on the 1st second, and when on the 2nd second, jade give stun hit.
So on 3rd second, the monster will free.
So its better if you don't build jade that often.
It will only screw up when you're trying hard to kill the bosses.

Err lAhos, I do know the common way to build a good maze, the one that makes creeps go thru 6 times. Otherwise I don't think I could've done 1.1mil dmg

2-3-2? What's that? U mean total 7 ancients with 2 stacked, etc?

Thx for the info abt the jades tho. Think I'll try a jadeless maze then..

Jade is still useful, coz it gives gold and the stun is longer than dark emerald's stun, besides theres only a 1% chance of that happening. If u only have 1 ancient slate then it doesn't really matter.

Elder slate is nice coz it gives gold and negative armour (-17 at level 4!)

Here's another replay, this time with 5 dark emerald! Damn i need to get another hobby....

Jade is useful correct, and i like the gold giving thingy too.
I'm not trying to ask people don't build Jade, but just don't too much la.
1 is more than enough in my opinion.
Sometime Jade will help, but it will screw up thing also.

Killed the 3.0 race mode lvl50 boss with 3 ancient slates. (2 ontop of each other(Lucky chanced) the other one was very near). I'll try to upload the replay

Weirdo map Build one tower then my tower terus gone when the round start. What the dragon is talking? 5, air gone, go, -,:2:...??

to get 7 ancients you need 14 rounds...

Has anyone beaten the extreme race dmg test for 3.1 yet? It seems you need a whole lot of luck in order to do so...

yes a bit hard,best i managed only 1.4mill ....
