I've just found out today that you won't be able to fix your Apple Watch in Machines service centre today; let alone just battery replacement.

My first gen Apple Watch battery depletes pretty fast nowadays so i thought of replacing the battery instead of buying a new one. Called Machines and they mentioned it's a one-to-one replacement (they will give Series 1), and i have to spend RM 1.2k for the replacement. It's kind of absurd, in Apple's US website, it costs USD79 to service the battery (slightly expensive but at least better than replacing the whole watch). I wonder if it's because Apple do not trust Malaysia's authorized resellers.

Anyway, anyone knows where i can replace the battery safely and at a reasonable price?

have you give Apple a call and explain the whole thing to them?

Hmm..would it help? Or would Apple just redirect me back to their authorized sellers/repair centres (Machines).

1.2k for replacement from first gen to series 1? series 1 only cost 1200, that's mean you buy a new one.

Yeah. If 1.2k I'd rather fork out another few hundred bucks and get the AW3.
But my first gen Apple Watch is still in pretty good shape. Only the battery is not as lasting as before. Feel it's a waste to just change this way. haha
