Hi,
I’m looking to buy a USB charger that can charge at least 3 smart phones [two android and one Apple] and one tablet [Android] simultaneously. Any good brand or models I should look for?
And what cable brand should I look for? Replacing all since most are frayed or broken. I’ve heard some people mention Remax Cable. Is it good? Would prefer something that can charge decently fast and last long.
If it helps, the devices are: Samsung Note 2, Samsung J2 Prime, Samsung A5, Iphone 5S [I believe] and Nexus 7.
Thank you.

Avoid those LDNIO crap. Aukey, Tronsmart isn't too bad I think. Or if you don't mind waiting for international shipping, Blitzwolf branded one is not too bad as well, currently using them. Can refer to this site for some that he had tested. http://lygte-info.dk/info/ChargerIndex%20UK.html

I don't see much difference between the Aukey and the original Samsung cable myself.

I'm using Hoco bought from Ustaz. So far, not bad for RM 10. Got over 2A charging my Note 4.
If u want 3-in-1 cable, Samsung have but at RM 149. Can charge 3 phones together but at 1A max.

Cable still Ok ok, unless talking about type c cable then there are some that don't exactly meet specs. On the chargers, it's not just about charging speed, but safety as well. Don't forget your adapter is connected to 240v AC, any failure in safety, 240v AC will be traveling down your phone and potentially your hands and head. Also the cheap chargers are usually noisy, which will lead to poor touchscreen performance when charging and who knows what long term effects are there for noisy chargers

Most importantly is what adapter are you using. If you're free, you can read this article/teardown of multiple cheap USB adapters and decide for yourself if it's worth it http://www.lygte-info.dk/info/usbPowerSupplyTest%20UK.html#3

I tried out the original Samsung fast charger and Type C cable. Phone battery at around 60%. I found it only supply power of may be around 5W. And assuming the phone itself consumes 300mA, that is still only about 7W only. Doesn't seem a lot to me. And like I suspected, the Aukey cable is just as good as the original Samsung's when I did the measurement. And when I compared the Samsung Fast Charger with this cheap charger I got off Lelong, the results are pretty comparable. https://www.lelong.com.my/6-usb-port-ac-uni...7-01-Sale-I.htmI used this apps to do the measurement. May be I measured it wrong? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ev.ampere&hl=enThis post has been edited by touristking: Nov 16 2017, 06:47 PM

And that charger on Lelong is the perfect example of the type of charger that I am afraid to use.

And that charger on Lelong is the perfect example of the type of charger that I am afraid to use. ampere apps. See what is the basic power consumption and make a guess Not really scientific. That cheap charger spec is 6A maximum spread over 6 output. If only 1 device connected, it can output a maximum of 6A or 6 x 1A etc. I tried it with the original Samsung fast charger and it seems to be charging same rate as the cheap charger on the Note FE. Again not very scientific but give me an indication of usability
