im thinking of buying a multivitamin..

is this one good enough?

I guess just lookout for the tablet/capsule casing ingredient? If its gelatin, 100% from babi source.

Some supplements have vegetarian/kosher recipe, maybe go for that route.

Hi and Assalam O Alaikum,

I notice two ingredients that are not Halal and usually from animal sources. Those are:

Stearic Acid which is a saturated fatty acid.
Magnesium Stearate which usually comes from pork fat.

If you'are looking for Halal multivitamins, there are some Halal-certified brands out there like Noor Vitamins, Flamingo Multivitamins, Salaam Nutritionals, and Halvit Multivitamins to cite a few.

And yes a multivitamin does not have to be Halal-certified in order to be considered Halal. But you do have to pay attention to the ingredients on the label.

You can also look for vegetarian capsules or Kosher label if there's no Halal label on the product.
