I'm sure that many of us have been gaming on consoles or PCs for a long time. And doing things for so long you tend to realize certain things. Especially how expensive it can be!

Let everyone know how EXTREME you are. What would you give to get your gaming fix? All consoles welcome, both old and current generation(Xbox 360, PS3, Wii)

I'll start off with mine.

-NES X 6 - Wasn't too careful with my stuff then, bricked many units
(Too young to know bout money, probably RM 1000)

-Gameboy classic - wasted too much money on games for this thing, then again was young. No longer in working condition.
(RM 600)

-Sega MegaDrive 16 bit - loved this unit, esp games like Sonic the hedgehog series,
Shinobi, Street Fighter. Burn't a gigantic hole in my pop's pocket.
(RM 2500)

-SNES X 1 - I was older when I started using this so less casulaties.Played a couple of games on the console but cannot remember their names.
(RM 1000)

Total cost : RM 5100

Then became a teenager and switched to PC gaming, probably RM 2000 on games. The computers were used heavily as work computers too, so don't really consider them "consoles"

Currently looking for a new console. Probably Xbox 360. But would rather go for the PS3 if there's an official local launch.

Looking back it feels kinda stupid spending RM 5100 + RM 2000=RM7100 on games. Luckily, I have a brother, so my father didn't feel so bad spending money on his two kids. If I was a single child though my father would probably be this and I'd probably be this

Anyway, that's my story. What's yours? Did your sponsor(parents) or finance minister(u know who) take it well?

games + acc: roughly spend for 2500 for ss,ps1,ps2,dc.

That thread doesn't list the costs of consoles. That's why I started this thread.

I nt sure how much i spend total, but i rmb that my old console was a gift from my grandpa...kind of nostalgic 2rmb it, maybe total up all my console got 3k+

Hey, the title was just a little joke. Don't take it too seriously.

Besides, I'm not proud of spending as much as I have. Just realized how much I've spent after reflecting upon it one nite, and regretted a little. Wonder if any others feel the same way. Gaming being the money drain it is, is it worth it?

As for me, I'll continue gaming in the future, but be mindful to manage my expenses better.

I don't consider myself extreme. Look at the ppl who have Xbox 360, PS3 and tonnes of original games. Some even have PS2. Probably RM6000+. And this is only for current gen consoles

I share all my consoles with my siblings, it's mulit-person entertainment I guess.

expensive hobby.... ...

If not mistaken, i'm sure got ppl hv all the 7th generation console, namely wii, ps3& xbox360 which total up to rm6k+ alone..but the number of ppl owning 3of that console is rare though

Wow ur ps3 so cheap! Where did you buy from? And how did you manage to get your gamecube for RM150? True or not?

Your next objective should be to grab the wii. Then you would have owned all consoles for TWO CONSECUTIVE generations!

NES + SNES - Free loh, I'm too young to even go out alone at that time.
PS1 - Free, my father's friend gave it to me as a birthday present back then.
PSOne - Free, my dad bought it for me when my PS1 broke down.
PS2 - RM1300, my dad paid RM900 since he had all those extra Euros when he came back from Frankfurt.
Xbox 360 - RM1800 (LE DOA4), I paid RM550 and the rest comes from my old man, too hehe.

X360 games - RM700+
Games for other consoles are pairats

PS2 - RM900 - Pirated games - Total RM1000+
Xbox360 - RM1450 - Ori Games - Total for 360 is - RM3200+

So TOTAL around RM4800+

erkkk maybe later la.. Wii.... gamecube.. buy 2-3 month ago.. in JB.. only RM150.00 new set.. .. very2 cheap...
