So I have this issue and has been bitching about it ever since: ranting.gif vmad.gif mad.gif bangwall.gif

Proton has yet to have an answer & I am determined to find out the root cause. I went to a car workshop & let them test drive. They heard this problem & they themselves have not hear something like this before. But they said its highly likely the suspension or stabilizer link problem. But still not sure.

Any way when they lift my car up, the right side spring looks like this:

The rear:

Looking at this looks like the spring not in place. Can this be the issue? A year ago I claimed warranty for my right side strut top mount which required the entire suspension assembly removed. I can't remember whether my this issue occur before or after he replaced the top mount.

The left side spring looks fitted nicely:

My first and last proton for sure ranting.gif . But I'll keep loving this one as it's my first. wub.gif

This is why I avoid suggesting first-batch of all-new cars.

Update from recent service. Proton Cose said absorber and everything is OK. All proton saga from blm, flx, and this new one have this sound. This sound is normal due to hydraulic power steering.

Whether they telling truth or not I don't know. I give up and will accept it as it is. 8 years to go.

They are best of the problem is obvious. If hard to diagnose they will try to push it away with some BS like what they told you below.

They kept my car for one week to try to diagnose a water leak. After one week they told me they couldn't find the source, and send me along while my car kept on leaking whenever it rains heavily.

In the end I found the leak myself and sent it to PESC in Puchong to fix it, which took less than a day.

COSE is too busy to deal with complicated, hard to diagnose problems nowadays. I would just send to another SC and ask for a second opinion.

In your case, Just send to a trusted workshop and ask the mechanic whether the spring is seated properly. If they say no, then send it back to Proton and ask them to reinstall it properly.

I'm going to find an empty lot with lots of gravel and record. Then can really see and hear the issue. Then show to forums + some prominent proton SC.
