dont know la bro. every year i always wait for every version of iphone. i dont use android. u might realised me every year when the phone almost launching, u will see me tegur u in this thread showing how excited i am with this phone. ntah la.. this year so much different because buy it directly at singapore kot.. mungkin because no tied contract with telco. ive refrained my self from buying singapore set since the era of iphone 3gs. Never in history, our rrp price is more expensive than singapore (after converting) although its only few ringgit difference. And thats the reason of my theory, Apple Singapore is controlling our market.
Or rather Apple is controlling the prices. Every year, new iphones are definately priced higher than the previous year. And they play around the storage size making you go for the larger storage model which is of course more expensive. The have been using the same old design and phone since Iphone 6/6s till the current 8/8+ and can you imagine how much they can save from that. So this round I make myself promise I wont buy their 8+ after going through every model since 3GS.
Ya, exactly that. No pre-order discount, no freebies. And yet they queue.
Somehow, the same hype and demand like yesteryears is not going to happen this time. I would say the price would be the deciding factor. Only the really hardcore fans would get this. Looking at how early Malaysia is getting the second wave launch has already shown the level of demand for the phone.
I’m getting a fast charger that deliver high power through USB-C. I would prefer a fast charge on this beast. The supplier wall charger is just slow. I can imagine if you get the wireless charger it’ll be even slower
Yes, Iphones and even the Iphone X are one of the slowest charging phones. Wireless Fast charging is also not available on the Iphone X yet. It is rumoured that apple is developing a fast charging pad for the Ip8 and X.

Some Apple diehard fan had reported my post of my friend selling off his ipX after 3 days. What a jerk he is reporting such post. I guess he couldn't stand any negative reporting ? PM me if he need to contact that forumer to verify and know more about why he decided to sell after 3 days. As said he is a more pro Android guy.
The "Apple can do no wrong" prophecy is true after all. The butthurt is stronk in here.

How slow does the X charges, slimiest to your 7+?
Similar charging times.

That’s pretty slow, even for a device with supposedly fast charging capabilities
It comes with the same old charger that came with the previous iphones.

cause, apple doesnt activate yet the fast charging for X iirc, no?
Not for wireless charging. You can still charge faster with an ipad charger or 2 amp fast charger from other brands. Apple is reportedly coming with a wireless fast charging pad in the upcoming months.
I read you still need a powerful wall charger for any wireless fast charge to work.
So the ‘right’ investment for charger accessories still arrive to the wall charger
Usually the wall charger which comes with the wireless charger will do. Im using the ori wireless fast charger from Samsung to charge my phone but its rather slow.
Anyone who hasn't pre-ordered X, can get RM75 discount if pre-ordering through GoShop. Use code GOGO75
Good link. But paying full price for an item price Rm5k and above and which is also slated for delivery in more than 2 weeks for a mere Rm75 discount doesn't seem like a very good deal.

All just business bro. I would do the same if I am telco.
Maxis are only targetting their own group of customers and those that are willing to pay premium price for their better network coverage. That is why they only have medicore value plans especially for Iphone because to them, Iphone users are the more premium customers who dont mind paying a bit more.

I am waiting for my Hoda full coverage TG with soft edges at around Rm30 bought at taobao on 11.11. Will try if it is better than my current Baseus.
Thats cheap. Its about Rm80-90 here. Personally I dont prefer full coverage TG because it makes the phone feel bulkier. Im on the non full coverage Hoda.
ROIs are for companies like Celcom to gauge interest levels for a certain product like the Iphone X and also to get your personal details and emails for marketing purposes.
Oh.. and it seems Celcom is following Maxis' footsteps in having a "Midnight Delivery" gimmick for the Iphone X.

Their Easyphone is like Zerolution and now midnight delivery? Ha ha ha...
Have to do promotions bro... very competitive market out there. Actually I would prefer them to do their usual "Iphone launch event at Celcom Blue Cube Sunway Pyramid". The first to queue will get a free iphone and 2nd will get half price and so on and so forth.

In Sg those Telcos will only send out the pre-order link to those who have ROI. Those who didn't ROI will not get link to pre-order and can only walk-in to try luck.
So those who are keen to pre-order better register their interest first.
That is SG. Here you will get emails reminding you when the preorders start if you ROI.

Yeah, those were the days. I think U Mobile offered a free iPhone 6 to the first 10 online preorders for the iPhone 8 if not mistaken.
Ya, I was surfing their site at midnight during the 8 launch. There was a pop up message that says first 10 will receive an iPhone 6 32GB. Not sure who were the lucky ones
Oh..missread bro. I read first 10 preorders of the Iphone 8 will get their phones for free. If it is an Iphone 6 32Gb then its true as UMobile always have such promos for their iphone launches.
