Mental health issues will probably affect about 40%* of Malaysians. This section was created to provide a place for community members to help each other out and to share experiences coping with mental health issues.

Do not be afraid to voice out and to seek help. There has been a misconception or stigma that mental health issues such as depression are caused by the lack of faith and willpower but mos of the time this is not the case. Accumulation of stress hormones, hormonal imbalance or other factors in the brain affects mood and physiology. Seeking psychological counseling and medical help is normal as mental health issue is an illness and not a sign of weakness, just like how one would consult a doctor when they have fever.
