if its 4 ROD, it could be ur cable...not very sure though... but mine....pening now...
*
No need to pening. I had the same problem 2 days back. After a reboot, everything seems fine dandy. Good eh?

UNFORTUNATELY, it's a totally different story yesterday night. Boot it up, same thing happening. Then, I'm seeing it more frequently. I knew it's coming.

BOOM, at approximately 12:21 AM, the bugger just smiled at me with the stupid blinking look on its face. Sigh....

Add me to the club guys!

It's not even 3 months old and I can't Bernard on the phone. How does he deals with warranty claims anyways? Any idea?

Eisen: Both. It was fine yesterday, bu the 3ROD was there for a sec or two, rebooted, it was all fine.

Mine still can turn on sometimes.... and crashes all the time with a 3rod. When that happens, nothing will appear on the screen until I leave it for a while. Rinse. Repeat.

Judge: Tried everything I can think off. When I first saw the 3ROD, I thought it's just a loose HDD connection, removed it, same problem. So yeah, it's pretty much dead. smile.gif

If it's not under warranty anymore, that bladdy thing will be on the operating theater yesterday itself. smile.gif

Since it's still under warranty, I will have to let Microsoft do their bit and replace it.

Alamak, kena pay 250 for shipping to SG. Sigh.... Anyone free enough to go down to SG? smile.gif

Come to think about it, the doctor charges are actually cheaper than shipping it back. What do you guys think?

Repair or send it back?

x clamp replacement is indeed great. and hopefully it clears up 3rods of all xbox360..

but what "if" I said if.. the x clamp doens't cure the problem hence you already void the warranty and you can't send it back to MS...
*
That's the only reason to send it back to Microsoft. If xclamp doesn't fix my problem, I have a 3 months old paperweight....

I guess I'll have to try and find a way to send it back to SG first.

Sigh....

Console by itself is not even 6 months old. Sigh, damn freaking hard to contact them if you're not in SG. I still can't find their direct number.

Apparently, they need 10 business days (2 weeks) for you to get a replacement.

How do you check the date? I dunno how, lol.

It's behind the console.... aptly labeled as MFR Date : YYYY - MM - DD

Eisen, sorry about earlier. The machine crapped out on me. smile.gif

It still managed to boot up if I left it for a while. If it's overheating, it should be showing something else instead of 0102 right? Weird.

verced....why dun ask the shop that u bought from to help u on this......

Bought it from Bernard. Kena 250. And from what I see, it will take forever before I get the thing back. Leenaz been waiting for almost 1.5 months now, still no news. I will try and sort it out first, if still cannot, I'll have to fork out 250 and wait for god knows how long.

How's PS3 btw? Any good games coming? smile.gif

Oh no..Mine same manufac date as Verced..Damn..But mine same as Zephro problem..So rite now dunno wat to do..

So juz nw whn u play Gears the console show 3ROD again?

Didn't even have the chance to play lar. smile.gif Just hoping for the best earlier since I can still turn it on and GeoWars is not taxing enough to crash it. GOW managed to do it right after the loading's done.

Don't need to worry so much lar... it's still under warranty anyways. It's just annoying that I'm going to waste 1 month + of Live. First it was the stupid Streamyx, took em 2 weeks to reinstall a line. Now this. Life's good. smile.gif

Your issue sometimes can be rectified by clearing your HDD cache. http://www.joystiq.com/2006/06/09/xbox-360...ode-discovered/

The code will clear all the updates for your games. Saved games and any other contents will remain intact.

Try it and see how it goes.

UPDATES

OK, I managed to find someone to contact Xbox SG for me, and he was asked to do the standard troubleshooting steps, like 'Check the light on the power adaptor' and reseating all the cables you can see from the back of your xbox.

Once my friend mentioned that there's 3ROD and the light on the power adapter's green, the issue a replacement there and then. [Maybe you guys can start here to save the hassle]

They require 10 business days to process premium units [5 for core doh.gif ], so I can only pick it up on May 7th. They also requested for a receipt.

Did they asked for any receipts when you guys go and pick it up?

Yeap, basically it will clear all the caches + game updates. Once you popped in your game, you will see the update screen. Game updates won't take long to download anyways. Once that's done, just try out whatever that you're having problem with. Hopefully that will fix it.

Yeap, still under warranty. It's barely 3 months old [or 6 months old from the manufacturing date].

All Xbox's comes with 1 year warranty from Microsoft. Accessories, 90 days. Pretty standard stuff I guess.

lol its actually either a 3 month warranty or a 9 month warranty depending on who or where u bought it from.
if im not mistaken, only the US versions allow u to pay a little more and get an extra 1 year warranty or sumthin like that

All SG Xbox comes with a 1 year warranty. Check out the following link for more information.

http://www.xbox.com/zh-SG/support/warranty...360Warranty.htm

It doesn't really matter though as you're pretty much on your own if you're experiencing any problems with the box even within the warranty period.
