Im no pro photographer/videographer, but i've got this A6000 with kit lens and planning to do some vlogs during my next trip.

Will probably get a gorilla tripod or some sort too, my question is what's the camera setting should i use for vlogging? I'll be holding the camera facing forward and sometimes facing myself.

Thanks! blush.gif

Depends on whether you want to do color grading. If you do not want the hassle to edit the video on post, then just go with the normal settings. If you wish to do color grading then it is best to use flat profile for your videos.

Another thing to take into consideration if you wish to do slow motion, if yes then you need to learn more about the shutter speed/fps suitable to use for it.

Normal settings = default settings/color/profile etc

Flat profile = s-log profile.

Too bad Sony A6000 doesn't have s-log profile for you to choose from. However there is alternative that you can adjust the profile to imitate the s-log profile, not exactly same but nearly there.

Set the sharpness, saturation and contrast to -3.

This is the closest you can get to s-log similar profile.

If you are not pro just use normal settigs (or whatever in camera profile you wish to set). Otherwise you need software and time to process the flat profile.
