Noticed yesterday & today, forum was down for few mins starting from 6AM.

Is there a scheduled maintenance at that time(just curious)?

every 6am everyday i think .. but yesterdey about 4-5pm forum offline also maintenance

You've been here since January 2003 and you don't know that this forum is on maintenance at 5AM - 6AM everyday?

That one hour downtime? Not any more since last year.

We occasionally take the board offline in the wee hours of the morning to conduct database optimizations as well as test crazy ideas.

Such as what? Curios to know. Hope you guys come out with some pretty idea to improvise Our forum

Actually Lowyat forum already getting a lot of modification in terms of coding.

Go to any high traffic IPB forum board, and check how long to finish loading the site.

Yes, there's automated forum maintenance at 6am every day that lasts for about 15 minutes or so. I plan to shorten the downtime by decomposing the tasks and scattering them throughout the day. Hopefully this will be in by next week

I think they are starting to do that. Search function was disabled just now, i saw red notice at the top.
