Solar powered is understandable, as you might be mutated to that extreme, but the 2nd perk is just plain laughable...

anyone got the firelance or alien weapon thing? (from what i read in some fallout 3 forum, somebody encountered this)
i once had this encounter or so i thought, there's this thing that rained down from the sky, and BOOM!!! it hit the top of a building, and i noticed several blue bits scattered all over the place (its the ammo), started picking it all up, when i got attacked by ****kin raiders and got killed in the process.... before i got to the alien weapon... shit!! when i reload the save game, no more such encounter... boohoooo... |

trade anything you get in Crater Supply or something forgot the name in Megaton. You could do the experimental quest offered by the girl in there too.

QUOTE(s7ran9er @ Nov 6 2008, 10:39 AM) Ladies and gentlemen, may I present you... *drums* what the-» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « wait is that combat knife on fire? btw, i tried a "sexy dress" item code then change the gender and tried it on. its was smokin hot~ Added on November 6, 2008, 1:26 pm QUOTE(Aggroboy @ Nov 6 2008, 11:55 AM) Sounds like you have a hard time with the combat system yeah i find it funny when i'm just sitting behind a teeny tiny pole, while the mutant was firing his minigun @ me, which only manage to hit me abit.[Perception] Yes you should get Sniper perk. Perception 3 is the main reason you are suffering because you can't get the perks, and you can't spot the enemy until they are pumping bullets into your backside. [Long Range] VATS sniping, like you said, is not very good after mid range. You have to adjust your style depending on range. If the mutant is really far away, you turn on sneak (even tho with low skill, they won't detect you since too far). You just manual snipe using the scope. It's basically a free headshot if you hit them, and sometimes the AI just runs around confused so you can hit a few more. [I'm being shot at!] If the mutant is shooting at you from midrange, terus run behind a wall out of their line of fire. Don't stand in the open and trade shots. Now you can play chicken-style, means you pop out of wall, open VATS with a rifle and unload, then hide behind wall again to recharge AP. Repeat. [He's running at me!] If there is a shotgun or melee mutant, confirm he will charge onto you. Basically use a shotgun (or a geng SMG). Again hide behind a wall, wait for him to turn the corner, and then use VAT to pump shotgun into his head. Added on November 6, 2008, 1:46 pm QUOTE I use the super duper mart's containers to store stuff in one of my newer games... I wanted to complete some quests before blowing up megaton... but also didn't feel like selling everything. Nothing missing yet. I doubt it will. But in one of my more progressed games entire context-sensitive npc's vanish through no fault of my own or anything that happened while I was around. (Lucy West and Walter the Purifier Mechanic...) This... is probably a bug, though. QUOTE Yes, apparently NPCs frequently fall to their deaths around Megaton. I don't know if that game mechanic is an artifact of a severely twisted sense of humor or a pathing bug. A modded fix for that will be number two on my wish list when and if a construction set is released. LOL i saw Lucy West lying on the road in Megaton. Was wondering what happened. (i looted her, along with her clothing anyone of you guys experience this? btw, i dont see Walter in the Water room either. This post has been edited by xavier7: Nov 6 2008, 01:46 PM |

QUOTE(foogray @ Nov 7 2008, 01:31 PM) Hahahahaha that's f***ed up but hilarious. Fallout 3 is full of funny moments. Using VATS in melee can lead to some really odd situations especially when you engage it from a distance and teleport towards the enemy. One time I queued up a string of melee attacks on a raider only to watch in horror as Dogmeat decided to leap in slow motion right in front of my flaming shishkebab. I critical hit him too, poor guy. Too bad I lost him later in the BOS super mutant behemoth fight. |

QUOTE(Aggroboy @ Nov 7 2008, 08:21 PM) I finished Daggerfall, Morrowind, Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Jagged Alliance, X-Com myself. Yes, Fallout 3 is a very very good game huh??? y didnt i get that, i only rescued them and they went running back to their homes after they thank me @ the Big Town village.Back to the game, I discovered something hilarious. If you ever been to Big Town, you will get a mission to rescue two guys from mutants and then teach the village how to survive. The funny thing is, if you gave the two guys grenades earlier, they will accidentally grenade the whole village to death during the small guns training. |

"I did resurrect Lucy West though. That was really funny, She started
raising at a moderate speed straight up into the sky as if she were ascending to heaven, It was about noon, so there was the light of the sun shining down on her in a halo too. Only instead of Angels attending her there were the circling crows. I watched her for a few minutes, my wife commented on it since I was giggling historically. After I got bored watching her, I left, and next time I came back to Moriarty's she was sitting in her usual spot in her skivvies (I couldn't pass up the opportunity to loot her when she was dead). " bwahahahahahh!!!! now thats funneh!!!!! |

QUOTE(TimKen @ Dec 5 2008, 10:43 AM) I like the world and environment design in FO3, but bethesda sure doesn't know how to design character figures, look at all the NPC and monster almost all has the same face and same body size, they just add in some little clothing texture....and frankly speaking it's indeed ugly too there are clothing/armor/apperance mods lying around, some are nsfw |
