Well i knda worried about this since EPIC games (Gears of War & UT3) also use similar features & this 2 games have 2 VERY MAJOR ISSUE.
It was related to the saving game mechanism. GFWL has lock those saves game in internet so when you shut down your PC those games that you saved will immediately dissappear. This has drwan many flaks from the community & only a patch can save the day.
Hope this won't befallen FO3.

By the way gives the new developer a chance (since the game is not even out yet)
Both Fallout 3 & Far cry 2 has famous predecessor developer in black isle studio & crytek.
It was just that the game was franchised to another developer who has a different mind-set.

Because FALLOUT itself is a cult classic. Back when it was released, RPG game was announced dead because of numerous similar 'me too!!!' game title and every of them have elves and dragon. Elves and f***ing dragon! JUST LIKE TODAY'S MMO and every f***ing 'RPG' game!!!
Fallout came out with the theme of 50-era post nuclear apocalyptic wasteland theme, with the world is in desert form and blood thirsty giant creature roam around. It proofs there are still hope and people will buy and play a RPG game even it has no fantasy theme in it.
And look how people treat it now...
It's like someone has take your favorite music, remix it into techno version. The end result can be a)wonderful and better than original or b)a piece of shit work.
Because of how Bethesda has cheat and manipulated people who have jack shit of idea how to do a proper sequel. If Bethesda is USA, Todd Howard and Pete Hines will be George W.Bush and d*** Cheney, both are clueless and liar.

Magazine review has the tendency of lying because the reviewer are forced to.
If him/she praise SC2 for being a superior game, I wouldn't skeptic about it. But this is Bethesda we are talking about. They have the balls to ruined their own Ip, the elder scrolls series by dumbing it down from Daggerfall to Oblivion.

Search the sentence 'Daggerfall also expanded on the impressive lore created for Arena' and read the whole thing.

And after felt cheated by playing TES: Oblivion and how they treated Star Trek gamers, I lost any respect for Bethesda now.

I never bought a console before so wouldn't really be so sure about "quick, mindless action games". I wouldn't mind if a game goes to a console or gets dumbed down if the developer wants to earn more but I do get annoyed when I see ads in-game. It is also a surprise to me when I heard that the company (Interplay) that created the Fallout series went broke and had to sell the game to Beth. The gaming scene has also become a place where you either join the consoles or produce a pc exclusive game that will sell less and pirates will pirate the game more than your sales (I doubt most of the forumers bought an original copy of the game). That is why I never complained about dumbing down games for consoles, these developers have to survive since the PC platform has been so badly pirated.
Don't blame beth, blame the pirates for killing Interplay. 

Mine can only run in High @ 1280x1024 with 2 AA and 6x AF. It looks damn sweet , and its pretty stunning too the graphics

What I find annyoing in this game is that you cant scroll through weapons. You'll have to manually fire up pipboy 3000 and then select it
