depends. IMO o stand for observation, slow morning some doesn't decay and some just gone after few hours of playing

Now about items.

One time I was doing some house keeping because of being encumbered in Megatown after I purchase food supplies. I accidently drop my laser pistol and a few cells but can't find it around the area. When i came back a few days later, the stuff was still there. Lucky me.

This happens also again in front of GNR when I was greedy and tried to grab all power armors, being encumbered and had to drop a few items. I drop the Lyons power armor and found it again near the water fountain a few days later.

I hate to say this but I actually like Oblivion after applying the unofficial mods than Fallout 3.

Also, I dislike the fact that I have to repair my weapon and armor constantly with the exact same weapon or armor respectively. It actually feels more like working than actually enjoying the game. At least in Oblivion we have that repair hammer thingie and you don't need to carry like a lot of them around.

With so much effort put into the repairing of items, they could have made the story and characters a lot more interesting.

owh.. then i hv to explore all side quest before completing my main quest.. and wander as many place as i could =)

Cool... so this means you skip the GNR part is it? I always wondered about that. If from start I just ventured to Vault 112, will I be able to meet good ol dad. But need to level up properly first since the baddies over there also include group of super mutants and a deathclaw (if I remembered correctly) near the camping area.

seems like the latest patch on 13 January 2009 will also update our Games For Windows Live to add the Marketplace function, which allows us to buy the DLC for Fallout 3 when it is released end of this month.

So... without the patch, it means we can't buy the DLC.

i whine because FO3 is not like what I imagine it would be. just like football fan whine about their club buying crap. or, just like evo fan who whine because Evo 26 are not up to Evo 25 standard even though they drive kancil. is it really hard for you to digest? pity man.
