Where to buy cello in KL? I hope to buy a good cello possibly below RM2k and can last until higher grades. As far as I know the cheapest beginner cello cost around RM2k++... is it possible to buy good quality cello without costing that much? Any music shops to recommend?

Checkout Amadeus Violin Shop in SS14, which is somewhere near the Taman Jaya and Asia Jaya LRT stations. Yea, it's called a violin shop but it deals with cellos too. My cello teacher and I regularly go to his place for stuff. Sometimes they have used cellos which are not brand new BUT not as expensive! Or, you can ask the owner Mr Tia if he knows any networks of cello sellers and/or teachers.

I just got my beginner cello at The Guitar Store in Taman Segar, Cheras for RM2000. It's not the first store I visited as the stores I previously visited needs at least RM2500 for a student cello. The price comes with the cello, beginner bow, rosin, and soft cello case. The cello is beautiful, sound wise it's acceptable for a beginner cello.
If you demand a better sound in the future, just upgrade the strings and/or buy a better bow. I got my new strings and bow at MyStringMaster Taman Desa. The shopkeeper is friendly and honest, I learnt a lot about cello accessories from him. If you wish to rent a cello without committing to buy it first you can also do it at MyStringMaster. They have beginner to intermediate cellos for rental.
Hope this helps.
